Dauntless TMS

Dauntless TMS Dauntless TMS provides FDA approved treatment for major depression, anxious depression & OCD. It is also FDA approved for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). J.

Dauntless TMS is the proud partnership between Dauntless Psychiatry. Our goal is to bring state of the art Transcranial Magnetic Simulation (TMS) treatment to the residents of Northwest Arkansas! TMS is a highly effective, medication alternative, treatment for Major Depression. TMS uses focused magnetic pulses, similar to an MRI, to reignite dormant synapses in the brain and help your brain function the way it was meant to. TMS works for people with treatment-resistant depression, and not just while you're being treated. TMS is the only treatment that has proven to be effective for a year. There is no sedation, anesthesia, or recovery time. The most common side effect is mild to moderate discomfort at the treatment site that usually subsides within the first week of treatment. TMS therapy is an outpatient treatment that takes as little as 19 minutes per session. A study of real-world outcomes reported an 83% response rate which means patients experienced notable relief, and a 62% remission rate which means their depression effectively went away. Many patients start to see improvement within 2 to 3 weeks of treatment. That can include changes in mood, fewer days of depression, and increased desire to engage with other people more often. As with any therapy, completion is key. Completing the full 6-week course of treatment gives the best chance for delivering long lasting relief from depression. We currently accepting most BCBS, Ambetter, Cigna, AETNA, TriCare West insurance plans.

Day 4 of Brain Awareness Week 🧠There’s a common myth that people’s personalities are tied to a dominant side of their brain. ā€œLeft-brainedā€ people are supposedly more analytical and mathematical, while ā€œright-brainedā€ people are said to be more creative and artistic. But the truth is not that simple.

Day 2 of Brain Awareness Week 🧠With 80-100 billion nerve cells, known as neurons, the human brain is capable of some astonishing feats. Each neuron is connected to more than 1,000 other neurons, making the total number of connections in the brain around 60 trillion! Neurons are organized into patterns and networks within the brain and communicate with each other at incredible speeds.

This week is BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK 🧠 Brain Awareness Week is the Dana Foundations global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. This campaign celebrates neuroscience and helps bridge the gap between research in the lab and using that knowledge to improve people's lives.

Check in with us all week as we share knowledge, celebrate discoveries and connect with the community to promote brain health and awareness.

One popular topic in neuroscience news right now is brain organoids. But what are they? These lab-grown models are a powerful new tool for advancing neuroscience and understanding how the brain develops, but they also raise important social and ethical questions worth thinking about as the science moves forward. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) targets the areas of the brain that go dormant in those with depression, anxious depression and/or OCD. TMS signals those areas to not only wake up but stay awake. Reach out today to see if TMS is right for you or someone you know. #479-370-3773
