Today we celebrate Wilhelm Roentgen's life on the anniversary of his death. Wilhelm, discoverer of the x-ray, passed away February 10, 1923 from colon cancer. His cancer was not believed to be caused by radiation exposure, since he was one of the few pioneers in the field to use protective gear. We honor his contributions to the medical field.
