Dr. Mark Bonner is the head physician at Mission Family Practice and has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He has consistently been voted the best doctor in Northwest Arkansas. He is joined by an excellent staff, including APRN Trent Hicks. At Mission Family Practice, we believe in taking care of patients today. When you or a family member are in need of medical care, you don’t want to be told an appointment time isn’t available. That is why we are one of few clinics to offer same day appointments, as well as Walk-In services. Because of our “taking care of patients today” philosophy and because Dr. Bonner and his staff are committed to spending whatever amount of time is necessary with each patient, it can often mean longer wait times. The vast majority of our patients understand and appreciate this way of practicing medicine, but if getting in and out as quickly possible is more important to you, we understand. We want to inform our patients that Dr. Bonner will be temporarily away from the clinic beginning February 12th as he undergoes surgery to replace a heart valve. We know how much he means to this community, and we appreciate your understanding and support during this time.

As a man of deep faith, Dr. Bonner believes in the power of prayer, and we’re asking our community to join us in lifting him up. Please pray for a successful surgery, for wisdom and skill for his surgical team and all the doctors and nurses who will be caring for him, and for a speedy and complete recovery.

Our APRN Trent Hicks, who has been with us for more than three years and is trusted by both Dr. Bonner and many of our patients, is ready to provide you with excellent care. Our entire staff is well-equipped and committed to serving you with the same compassion and quality you’ve come to expect. Dr. Bonner will return to the clinic as soon as he is able, and he is looking forward to continuing his mission of taking care of patients as he has always done.

He may return with a new valve, but he will always have the same big heart!
