Recently I jumped on a video with my wife, Suzanne Eller - Living Free Together to discuss what happens when we shut down how we feel.

Though this was for her site, I thought you might find value too. Acknowledging how we feel is vulnerable, but that vulnerability can also be a first step in healing.

Meet Dr. Chad Imhoff. Chad is a certified EFT therapist and supervisor. He received his PhD from the UofA doing his dissertation on the impact of hosting faith based EFT marriage conferences in a weekend format. He currently teaches The Marriage and Family Therapy class at The University Of Arkansas, is a leader in the ARCEFT Community and regularly hosts conferences that introduce EFT to married and engaged couples. On the SV team, we are lucky that Chad has incredible technical savvy and is the person responsible for helping our videos look good. As a teacher and supervisor, Chad wanted to create brief and practical videos that give a quick focus to students and supervisees, so they could walk into their next session with a more clear idea of what to do. Through his YouTube Channel “The Real Imhoffs” or the page “The EFT Guy” you can watch free EFT focused videos weekly that come right out of his EFT Supervision Groups. For an incredible resource in addition to SuccessinVulnerability, check out Chad’s videos on Facebook at: The EFT Guy

New Heights is excited to announce that it is collaborating with the Excellerate Foundation (formerly Endeavor Foundation), the Walton Family Foundation, and the Joshua Center to help sponsor a Community Counseling Program through the Joshua Center.

This program provides scholarships for individual counseling with an emphasis on minority ethnic groups. Scholarships for non-minorities are also available on a limited basis. Each individual session requires a $10 copay. The rest of the cost is scholar-shipped. Sign up at mendingracialpain.com

We are also partnering with the Joshua Center to offer subsidized counseling for any full time law enforcement officer in Washington County (all police departments) that wants counseling for any reason.

There will be a $20.00 copay per session for each session up to 6 sessions. Contact the Joshua Center at 479-268-4527 or email info@thejoshuacenter.com to schedule an appointment. This program ends December 31, 2020.

Avocado toast Turkey bacon
English tea for breakfast
I wish I could have shown this picture to my 30 year old self. At 30 I would have said I hate this breakfast. I was rigid in what I liked, what I thought was good. I didn’t know how many changes I would go through. How different I would be at 61. How my wife and I would battle cancer multiple times. Lose a farm. Change jobs. Move to a new state. Have a heart attack. I would change my perspective on so many things. I wish I could tell my 30 year old self that I would love myself at 61, even though I am much different than I thought I would be. Tell my 30 year old self that my God would be faithful and love me through the changes. That my God would initiate changes for my good.
Yeah, I would have loved to show this pic to my 30 year old self.
