Hear this: What matters is how we fight, not whether we fight. Couples who stay happily married disagree just as much as the couples who get divorced. But they’ve learned how to use disagreements to deepen their connection. How do you and your spouse leverage your disagreements for good?

Mindfulness Monday!

Mindfulness is everywhere these days...mindful eating, mindful walking...

How is ANYONE present and "in" the moment these days? With everything that is happening today, it can be difficult to find a moment for yourself. Furthermore, even more, difficult to clear your mind and just...be.

Many times, we are under the impression that meditation or mindfulness takes a long time.

"I don't have 15 minutes to meditate!"

Neither do I.

But what I like to say is....we don't have time NOT to do something for ourselves!

Today...give yourself 30 seconds. Tomorrow, give yourself 60 seconds.

Keep building up and DON'T beat yourself up if you miss a day!

Soon enough, mindful activities will be as natural as brushing your teeth in the morning.

Unmet expectations are a major source of conflict in marriages. Be willing to forgive each other for unmet expectations, then let go as best you can. Replace resentment and hurt with empathy and understanding instead.
