Yeah,
Sometimes I’m a complete disaster, but that’s one of my best qualities.
I may show up with messy hair, messy clothes and a mess in my arms, but I’ll always show up.
I’m not going to say it’s easy always taking the long way through my days or that I don’t get frustrated..
But when the dust clears and you need someone to stand beside you, you can always count on me.
I may not be the picture of perfect, but that’s just my signature style and I own it.
After all, wouldn’t you rather have one messy person that loves you rather than ten fake people who vanish when the going gets tough.
I can’t promise I’ll always have the answers to help you through or know what to do next, but I’ll always be there for you, no matter how hard life gets.
I used to tell myself that this was the week I was going to get organized and get it all together, but something else always seemed to get in the way..
And I realized, I don’t have to be the model person to be amazing in all the ways that matter:
Great friend, loving parent, good person.
I’m going to keep showing up, standing up and speaking up for the things and people that matter.
I know now that I only get one shot at this thing called life, so I’m making the most of my days, living in my moments and appreciating the love and beauty all around me.
Maybe I’ll always fumble, bumble and stumble through life sometimes, but at least I’ll always be true to myself, always show up and most of all,
I’ll always be there for the people I love…starting with myself.
So, yeah, I’m messy most of the time,
But I’m a beautiful soul with a big heart.
Just the way I always wanted to be.
Doesn’t get much better than that.

The Ultimate Proof of Love: Effort Over Convenience

We often confuse someone being available with them actually making us a priority. It’s easy to feel valued when life is smooth, when a friend or partner has free time, or when showing up requires zero effort. But the real measure of how much someone cares doesn’t show up when things are easy; it shows up when life gets messy, busy, and stressful. That conscious choice to clear space for you is the only honest way to measure lasting love.

The true test of a person’s commitment doesn't happen when they are resting; it happens when they are absolutely overwhelmed. Anyone can be kind when their work is light and their mind is clear. But when the deadline is tight, when the stress is high, or when their own problems are consuming all their energy, that is the exact moment their real character is revealed.

The people who truly value you are the ones who stop their chaos for you. They don't wait for the storm to end; they pause right in the middle of it just to hear your voice, check that you are safe, or remind you that you matter more than the emergency. That brief pause is a powerful act of love. It’s a quiet declaration that, despite a thousand other things screaming for their attention, you are the most important thing in their entire life. In that moment, they are actively choosing you over every single distraction.
This is why effort is the clearest proof of love.

You won't find it in expensive gifts or perfect promises; you'll find it in the difficult, daily reality of changing what comes first. Effort is a conscious choice they make every single day—a constant demonstration of loyalty. When someone is willing to intentionally drop what they are doing to focus on your well-being, they are sacrificing their personal convenience. They are taking the one thing none of us can ever get back—their time—and placing it in your hands.
We need to deeply appreciate the people who make this tough choice. We must realize what an immense gift it is to be ranked over the endless noise of modern life. Through their consistent actions, they prove that the relationship isn't a temporary luxury, but a permanent necessity. We should only give our deepest love to the people who prove that being there for you doesn't depend on how easy their day is, but on the certain truth that you are always worth the effort.
