In 1904, Higgins Brothers took an important step forward—relocating to the southwest corner of the Fayetteville square, where the furniture store operated on the ground floor and the undertaking rooms above. That same year, a fire threatened the business, but thanks to a swift response from the Fire Department, it was contained. Through change and challenge, Higgins continued building what would become a trusted community standard for generations.
