Please join me in extending a heartfelt farewell to Adriane Crowley. She has been an exceptional therapist and friend during her nearly seven-year tenure at Star Pediatric Therapy. I have been fortunate to work alongside her on a daily basis. The children she has served over the past seven years have made remarkable progress, and her guidance has contributed significantly to their ongoing growth. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

In the last two months two families have approached me and informed me that they were told by their primary care physician and or the therapy group that they were referred to that Star Pediatrics does not take their insurance.

THIS IS FALSE!!!

We take all the same insurance as everyone else. Some please tell these 2 companies, my words fall on deaf ears.

If you have questions, please call us.
We have a few openings.
We help with transportation.
We listen to your concerns.
We improve the lives of children!!

Please contact an OT or PT if your baby sits like this!!!

THIS IS WHY WE NEED TUMMY TIME FOR OUR KIDS!

"Babies NEED tummy time! At 11 months old, this little cutie should have a nicely rounded head, developed S curves in his neck and low back, and flexible legs that move in and out of various sitting positions. But, largely due to lack of time on his tummy and OVERUSE of "baby containers" such as bouncy seats, swings, and car seat carriers that go from car to grocery store to restaurant, he has positional plagiocephaly (flat skull) a big ol' C curve in his spine preventing him from getting on hands and knees to crawl, and hips and legs so tight he can't even straighten his knees! And these are only the outwardly visible problems...too much pressure on baby's spine and vision centers of the brain from lying on their backs are detrimental to development! So....tummy time, tummy time, tummy time! Do it!"

This is so important. Sometimes parents are concerned when we don't dive right into their child's goals! You cannot teach a child that does not know how to attend. You have to find out why they are not attending: THEY DO NOT CHOOSE TO NOT ATTEND!!
