October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor strength, raise awareness, and support early detection. Breast cancer can affect anyone, no matter their gender. The American Cancer Society recommends that women 55+ get a mammogram every other year.

You can also take charge of your health with a simple Breast Self-Exam at home — it’s a helpful tool, but it doesn’t replace a mammogram. Find a step-by-step guide here:
https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-self-exam/

A breast self-exam can help you detect breast cancer earlier when it is easier to treat. Find detailed instructions on how to perform a breast self-exam.
