Yellow Rock Behavioral Health Yellow Rock Treatment Center

Yellow Rock Behavioral Health is a psychiatric residential treatment center that is specifically designed for children and adolescents ages 12-17 who are having difficulties with problematic sexual behaviors that are complicated by mental illness. Our residential program treats both issues simultaneously through a multidisciplinary treatment approach to better ensure for a successful recovery. Through our program we help our patients learn to take responsibility for both their problematic sexual behaviors and any other behavioral problems they may have. Our highly structured program provides each child with an environment that promotes learning healthy coping skills, behavior management techniques, and relapse prevention techniques.

When a resident leaves Yellow Rock, we ask them to fill out a Final Word to share what they learned, their favorite activities, who helped them along their way, and what their plans are for the future.

Every Friday we're going to start highlighting some of their comments. Welcome to Final Word Friday!

" I learned that I am never alone, I have a team, and I have a home. I have learned to love myself as I am. I am human, and for once I am okay with that"

" My favorite activities were water day, laser tag, and the outings!"

" I plan to go into the Air Force and then get my masters in engineering"

" I learned to control my impulses. I learned to ask for help when needed"

"I plan to finish school and then work in construction"

For Black History Month, each class selected an influential historical figure to research and celebrate. Students brought their learning to life through creative presentations—from designing clothing to building hands-on projects like a cardboard train, to share what they learned in meaningful ways.

These projects showcased not only important historical contributions, but also our students’ creativity, teamwork, and pride in their work. We are so proud of the effort and thought that went into honoring these incredible individuals and their lasting impact on history.
