Honoring Caregivers đź’™

We pause to recognize and celebrate the incredible caregivers across North Carolina—especially those within our own families and communities. Your compassion, strength, and dedication make an immeasurable difference in the lives of those you care for.
Caregiving isn’t always easy, but your love and resilience shine through every single day.
Thank you for the long hours, the patience, the sacrifices, and the heart you pour into caring for others. Our communities are stronger, healthier, and more connected because of you.
To all caregivers in North Carolina—today we honor you. 💛

Hello Parents of Adults!

ASNC is hosting a Webinar next week that I wanted to make sure you knew about.

ASNC Webinar - Motivating Adults with ASD to Do Adult Things
📆Tuesday Nov 18, 2025 04:00 - 5:30PM
Details: This presentation is intended for parents of adults with ASD who seem to possess the potential for independence to a significant degree but are not engaging in adult responsibilities.
We encourage parents of teens to join us as well. Much of the information could be useful to you as well.
During this presentation, we will explore the intersection of motivation, adult responsibility, and a diagnosis of autism. We will also examine the role of parents in supporting their children diagnosed with autism into adulthood. This involves some self-reflection and maybe even some shifts in understanding and perspective.
Objectives:
• Identify barriers to motivation in adults with ASD
• Discuss strategies to support skill development, as well as accommodations and modifications to consider
• Develop an understanding of our role and expectations in parenting an adult with ASD.

Please visit the ASNC website to register:
