Happy World Autism Awareness Day🧩🩵
As a pediatric SLP, I get to see firsthand that communication isn’t one-size-fits-all—and that’s what makes it so meaningful. The kids I work with on the spectrum remind me every day that connection can look so many different ways.
Some of the moments that might seem small to others—eye contact, a new sound, a shared laugh—are actually huge. Those are the wins we celebrate.
Today isn’t just about awareness, but also about acceptance, inclusion, and really seeing each child for their unique abilities. Every child deserves to be heard and understood, in whatever way works for them.
Feeling really grateful for the families who trust me and the kids who teach me something new every single day 💙
