With 20+ years of experience in the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities, including 15+ years postdoctoral experience, I am offering consultations for families and professionals. These consultations are designed to expand awareness, knowledge, and support systems for those with neurodevelopmental conditions, especially those with cognitive, intellectual, or learning differences. I offer one-time, as needed, or recurring/ongoing educational consultation, which may include:

* IEP/Evaluation Review: Designed to help families understand their child’s evaluation findings and whether their current educational placement/plan aligns with their child’s needs and goals, this service allows for an independent review of these documents. I review the child’s most recent evaluation and IEP/education plan and then meet with the family to discuss impressions. A written consultation summary is also provided.

* In-Person or Virtual Educational Consultation Services: I can provide customized and individualized consultation for students with special educational needs and their families. Examples include:
+ Assistance with evaluating possible educational environments (e.g., public school, private or religious school, specialized private school, homeschool) and the services and supports available in each
+ Developing strategies for inclusion, while also addressing the student’s unique needs
+ Evaluating the effectiveness of specific supports or accommodations
+ Setting up a plan for accommodations and modifications for homeschooling families
+ Determining whether additional evaluations or support services are needed
+ Making recommendations regarding transitions in educational settings, such as moving from early intervention to school-age services, moving from elementary to middle or middle to high school, and moving to college/postsecondary education or the workforce

* Individual student programming consultations: Review and development of current programming, as well as consultation to address programming concerns, both common and uncommon. I can help to troubleshoot situations or provide additional recommendations to adapt programming and support students and their families.

* Curriculum and program review and evaluation: As an expert in brain-based learning, I can review curricula and programs implemented in the academic setting for alignment with the current knowledge and research on developmental and learning processes within the brain. This review can be helpful for students in a range of educational settings, including public or private schools or homeschool settings.

It's hard to believe the first month of 2026 is almost over! Here are some exciting updates within our practice for 2026:

Dr. Manfredi on Down Syndrome Center podcast: Our very own Dr. Manfredi recorded a podcast for the Down Syndrome Center podcast with Kishore Vellody on neuropsychological and IQ testing for individuals with Down syndrome. In this podcast, she talks about the benefits and things to consider when thinking about neuropsychological or IQ testing so that individuals with Down syndrome and their loved ones can make an informed decision about when, or if, they would like to pursue testing. You can listen to the podcast here (https://downsyndromecenter.libsyn.com/dsc/neuropsychological-and-iq-testing-with-dr-rosemarie-manfredi) .

Dr. Manfredi publishes a book chapter on addressing ableism for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities: Dr. Manfredi was the lead author on a chapter about ableism in the IDD population in the forthcoming book, Systemic Ableism: Critical Perspectives on Disability, Equity, and Access. The book is scheduled to be released in April 2026. More information and pre-order information can be found here (https://novapublishers.com/shop/systemic-ableism-critical-perspectives-on-disability-equity-and-access/) .

Neurodevelopmental Assessment & Consulting, LLC is now an Act 48 provider: Neurodevelopmental Assessment & Consulting, LLC is now officially an Act 48 provider, meaning that we can provide continuing education credits for PA certified educators, administrators, and school psychologists. Registration is now open for our PALS social and educational groups, starting October 23, 2025! We will be offering virtual open houses on September 18, 2025 from 5-6 pm and September 20, 2025 from 10-11 am. Participants at the open houses will have the opportunity to speak directly with the program's creator, Sara Norris, and ask any questions about the program. Register by September 30, 2025 to get $25 off the fee (registrations after September 30 are at the full rate). Designed to build confidence, communication skills, and strong peer relationships, these groups are intended to meet the needs of those we serve. Groups will be led by trained facilitators, using a fantastic curriculum that was developed uniquely for our program! These group programs are ideal for students who struggle to make and maintain friendships, have difficulty participating in structured and unstructured social activities, struggle to initiate play with peers, and trouble demonstrating social reciprocity. Whether your child needs more tools to build social confidence or simply more opportunities to practice, these groups provide a warm, playful, and structured setting to grow. We are starting with groups for ages 3-5, 6-8, and 8-11. Groups will be intentionally kept small (maximum of 6 participants) to allow for individualized support and participation. Groups are held in-person at our office in Feasterville and open to all, regardless of diagnosis (you do not need to be a current or past client to participate; new clients are welcome!).
