🌱 Condition of the Week: Spring Vitality Lag
As we head into a season of more movement, it’s common to feel almost ready for spring activity — but not quite there. A quick vitality check can show how your energy and coordination are doing! Here are two simple ways to see how your body's energy and coordination are doing:

1. Grip Strength: Give a grip trainer or squeeze ball a few strong squeezes. Fatiguing faster than expected?

2. Balance: Stand on one foot for 10–20 seconds. Feeling steady or wobbling?

These simple tests can reflect deeper systems like cardiometabolic health, neuromuscular coordination, and cellular energy production. If movement feels harder than it should, your metabolism may need a little support.

At Northwest Wellness, we offer Metabolic Maximizer injections which deliver lipotropic nutrients and amino acids that help support fat metabolism, cellular energy, and recovery — a great boost as activity naturally ramps up in spring.

Think of it as giving your body the fuel it needs to move with more ease and momentum! Call us today at (253) 927-0660 to schedule your appointment!

🌱 Condition of the Week: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome 🖐️
If your hands feel numb, tingly, or weak — especially after typing, gripping, or repetitive tasks — it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This condition happens when the median nerve gets compressed at the wrist, often due to posture, inflammation, or overuse. It is very common in desk workers, stylists/barbers, mechanics and tradespeople, chefs and food prep workers, and artists and crafters.

Signs to watch for:
• Tingling in the thumb, index, or middle fingers
• Wrist pain that flares with activity
• Hand fatigue or clumsiness
• Grip weakness or nighttime discomfort

Our providers at Northwest Wellness use gentle wrist and spine adjustments, soft tissue therapy, cold laser therapy, and ergonomic coaching to reduce nerve pressure and restore function. We’ll help you get back to work, hobbies, and daily life — without the hand pain. Call (253) 927-0660 to schedule your appointment today!

🌱 Condition of the Week: Piriformis Syndrome 💪

Piriformis syndrome happens when the piriformis muscle becomes tight or irritated and puts pressure on the sciatic nerve. This can lead to deep low-back or buttock pain, leg pain, or even tingling and numbness that often feels worse with sitting.

Here at Northwest Wellness, we use a combination of pelvic and sacral chiropractic adjustments, targeted massage and soft-tissue work, and gentle nerve-flossing techniques to help reduce irritation and get you moving comfortably again.

🌱 Condition of the Week: Spring Deconditioning

Feeling a little weaker or wobblier than usual as you ease into spring? You're not alone. Quick checks like grip strength and single-leg balance can reveal more than you think-- they reflect how your body's energy, coordination, and recovery systems are doing after a slower winter.

If movement feels harder than it should, it might be early signs of spring deconditioning-- when strength, stability, and energy dip from inactivity.

Our Metabolic Maximizer injections support fat metabolism, cellular energy, and recovery-- helping you rebuild momentum as activity picks up.

✨Condition of the Week: Plantar Fasciitis 🦶

Experiencing stabbing heel pain first thing in the morning, or tenderness along the bottom of your heel or arch after long periods of standing or walking? These are classic signs of Plantar Fasciitis, a common condition where the thick band of tissue along the bottom of the foot becomes inflamed which leads to the sharp heel pain.

Try starting your day with gentle calf stretches and plantar fascia stretches before getting out of bed; or try rolling your foot over a frozen water bottle for relief. Supportive footwear is essential for managing this condition.

And if symptoms persist, don’t hesitate to visit your Chiropractor — we can help by correcting the biomechanics of the foot and ankle, improving mobility, and addressing the soft tissue tension that contributes to the pain.

Now Offering Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy at NW Wellness!

At NW Wellness, we believe the body has an incredible ability to heal when given the right support. PRP therapy is a regenerative option for patients whose pain or dysfunction persists despite movement therapy, soft-tissue work, and lifestyle care.

PRP is made from a small sample of your own blood, processed to concentrate platelets—cells rich in growth factors that help coordinate tissue repair. This plasma is then applied to joints or tendons to support your body’s natural healing response.

PRP complements chiropractic care, massage therapy, and naturopathic medicine. Common areas we evaluate include:

-Knee osteoarthritis
-Shoulder degeneration
-Chronic tendon injuries

It’s autologous, gradual, and biologically thoughtful—not a quick fix, but a meaningful option when you’ve been doing “all the right things” and still feel stuck.

Curious if PRP is right for you?
Schedule a complimentary consult with Dr. Thomas to explore whether this therapy fits your goals and care plan.

Condition of the Week: Tension Headaches

🌿 Tension Headaches: Why They Happen & How We Help

Tension headaches are one of the most common types of headaches—and they’re often linked to tight neck and shoulder muscles, stress, and long hours on screens. If you’re feeling that familiar band of pressure around your head, your body may be asking for support.

Chiropractic care can help reduce muscle tension, improve posture, and restore proper movement so those headaches show up less often (and with less intensity). Small changes make a big difference.

Want to know if your headaches are coming from muscle tension? We’re here to help you figure it out. Call (253) 927-0660 to schedule an appointment with one of our providers today.
