Alhamdulillah, I’m deeply humbled and grateful to see the story of the House of Duʿā being highlighted by our local media. To have outlets like the Seattle Times and Federal Way Mirror recognize this work is not just an honor—it’s a powerful affirmation of how needed culturally responsive recovery spaces are in our communities.
This residence was built with faith, dignity, and healing at its core, and it represents hope for so many women who deserve a safe and supportive path to recovery. I’m incredibly encouraged that this story is reaching a wider audience across our state, and I pray it opens doors for greater understanding, support, and investment from community leaders and policymakers alike.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us, believed in this vision, and continues to support this mission. We’re just getting started, insha’Allah
Federal Way has another first to celebrate thanks to recent Mirror Hometown Hero Hussein Ugas, who was featured for his work opening the first culturally responsive sober housing for Muslim and East African men in Washington.
