Three Trees Yoga

Three Trees Yoga Rooted in community and healing since 2005. Three Trees Yoga has a class for everyone. We specialize in meeting the student where they are at.

If you need stress relief, or longer hamstrings or stronger bones--or all of the above, we can find a class for you. We have beginners classes as well as the "Intro to Yoga" series for an in depth study of the poses if you are brand new to yoga. All of our teachers are required to be RYT certified and can make adjustments for previous injuries or medical conditions. We offer a clean, relaxing, tranquil space to support you in your journey to find balance between body, mind and spirit. We run a 200-hour Yoga Alliance accredited yoga school, with a focus on philosophy, chakra theory, Ayurveda, asana, pranayama, body positive yoga and mindfulness. We have a wide range of classes and teachers and workshop offerings. We are continuously updating our knowledge as a studio and as teachers. We teach traditional hatha yoga with a mindfulness focus and a deep rooted love and appreciation for this sacred practice.

The Year of the Fire Horse is here!

It brings big, bold energy with it. In the Chinese zodiac, the Horse represents strength, independence, and forward movement.

When you add the element of Fire, that spirit becomes impossible to ignore.

This is a year to move. To trust yourself. To stop overthinking.

Roll out your mat. Take that first fiery breath.
Let’s move forward together.

Forgot your mat?
Do not own a mat?
Never even touched a mat?

We have everything you need.

Mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, and eye pillows for that long exhale at the end of class.

No rentals. No extra fees.

Just bring yourself.

This is your place to land.
Your place in the forest.

Vinyasa Flow will use the breath as a guide and force through which we move the body. A slightly faster pace brings heat to the body while using the breath as a way to come in and out of the poses. Familiar shapes like the Warrior series and Downward Dog are woven together with clear alignment cues, options, and space to explore what feels supportive in your body.

🌕 Our Full Snow Moon in Leo reminds us that courage and love are never solitary. We are not just being asked to feel, but to meet ourselves and others with full awareness and intention.

This powerful lunation invites our heart fire, grounded in courage, truth, creativity, conviction, and love. Winter may be quiet, but the fire within our collective is not.✨

Where will you choose courage over comfort?

Yoga isn’t just about what happens on the mat; it’s about the people who hold the space with kindness, consistency, and heart. Karen does this beautifully, and we’re so grateful for everything she’s shared and continues to cultivate in our community.

Join Karen Schwisow on Tuesdays at 10:45 am for Mindful Yoga.

"As an original co-founder of Three Trees Yoga & Healing Arts Center, I have been sharing the transformative practices of yoga and mindfulness since 2005. For over a decade, I have also trained aspiring teachers, helping them bring embodied presence, equanimity, and compassion into their own communities.

With a mindfulness practice rooted in the early 1990s, yoga became a transformative addition to my practice a decade later. My classes are a pause button for the chaos of daily life—inviting you to reconnect with your breath, your body, and the present moment. Known for my warmth, humor, and ability to make ancient wisdom feel relatable, I create a space where curiosity replaces judgment, and mindfulness becomes a tool for everyday living.

My teaching is informed by rich training experiences, including the Pacific Yoga Teacher Training, Therapeutic Yoga training through Subtle Yoga, and certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School. My passion lies in blending time-honored traditions with practical tools to meet the demands of modern life."
