Thanksgiving Day consisted of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, followed by the Lions game and a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! It was a wonderful day!
One of our residents said, “If the Lions win, I’m going back for thirds—I like to reward good behavior!” 🦃😂

Today was extra special — our residents gathered together to make our Life Enrichment Director Heather’s late grandma’s beloved pumpkin pie recipe. The smell alone felt like a warm hug, and the taste? Absolutely unforgettable! One resident even shared, “This reminds me of my mother’s recipe, and that was hard to beat!”

Moments like these remind us why we cherish our StoryPoint family so much.

Our residents spent the afternoon decking the halls and bringing the spirit of the season to life as they decorated our Christmas trees! From carefully placed ornaments to adding those final festive touches, they filled our community with warmth, laughter, and holiday cheer. The trees look beautiful—thanks to their joyful creativity!

Today was packed with creativity, music, and fun! 🎤🦃

We kicked things off with Thanksgiving Trivia—our residents showed off some impressive holiday knowledge! Assisted Living kept the energy going with a lively round of karaoke, filling the community with smiles and song.

Meanwhile, our Memory Care residents spent the afternoon crafting beautiful Thanksgiving wreaths, putting their creativity and heart into every detail.

A day full of great music, sharp minds, and artistic expression—just the way we love it! 🍁✨

Today we warmed up with a cozy hot chocolate bar while our residents painted Christmas ceramic ornaments! The creativity was flowing and the smiles said it all. They absolutely loved it, and their ornaments turned out beautifully—getting us all in the holiday spirit! ☕️🎄✨

The talented Tom Smela joined us today for Happy Hour entertainment, and what a joy he brought with him! 🎤✨ Tom always keeps our residents engaged by handing out instruments so they can stay in tune with the music he plays — and they absolutely love it. 🎶🥁

His energy lit up the room, and we couldn’t be more proud or more grateful for the smiles he brought to our community today!

What a Day at Our Community! 🌶️☕️

Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to North End Coffee Shop, sharing warm drinks, good conversation, and lots of laughs. But the fun didn’t stop there—because after coffee, it was time for our Community Chili Cook-Off!

Residents, staff, and community members all joined in as our panel of eager taste-testers. From hearty venison chili to bold and spicy creations, everyone brought their best.

And the winner? 🎉
Our very own Life Enrichment Director, Heather! During her acceptance speech, she revealed the hilarious twist… her award-winning chili was actually Wendy’s chili! The residents quickly declared her an “honest cheat”—and the room erupted in laughter.

A very close runner-up was our talented chef, whose homemade chili was absolutely delicious and loved by all.

The entire day was filled with joy, compliments, full bellies, and incredible community spirit.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, we were honored to welcome our friend Terry Fragale, a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, who joined us to celebrate and recognize the brave veterans in our community.

Terry presented each veteran with a challenge coin and a salute for their service, while sharing stories from his own military experiences. He also took time to share the stories and ranks of each veteran in our building, giving everyone a chance to appreciate their unique journeys and contributions.

He paid special tribute to one of our own—a Vietnam Nurse—for her dedication service and compassion.

Before the program concluded, our Life Enrichment Director, Heather, surprised and honored Terry with an Army 250th Honorary Coin in recognition of his service and his heartfelt efforts to honor others.

It was a truly moving day filled with gratitude, pride, and remembrance. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our country. ❤️🤍💙

🎨✨ Resident Art Show Success! ✨🎨

Today, our community had the absolute pleasure of attending an incredible art show put on by one of our very own talented residents! 🖌️ He shared not only his beautiful artwork but also the inspiring stories behind each piece — and it was a HUGE hit!

Our residents were amazed by his creativity, passion, and the personal journey captured in every brushstroke. What a wonderful reminder that art truly connects us all!

Our amazing Chef Sunny went above and beyond this weekend! She took time out of her Sunday to make a special shortbread using one of our resident’s mother’s cherished recipes during our all-new Chef Hour! Residents even joined in on the fun, helping her whip up some delicious lemon bars that will be served for dessert at tomorrow’s lunch! 🍋👩‍🍳

Our very first Karaoke Happy Hour was a hit! 🎤

The residents had an amazing time singing everything from The Beatles to YMCA — a little bit of everything! The smiles, laughter, and sing-alongs made it such a fun afternoon, and everyone can’t wait for us to do it again!

Dinner at The Fenton Hotel!!

Tonight our residents enjoyed a wonderful dinner outing to the Historic Fenton Hotel! From frog legs to Meatloaf Monday, there was something for everyone — and they loved every bite!

We even got to learn a bit of the hotel’s ghostly history, which made the night even more fun and memorable. What a perfect mix of good food, good company, and a little spooky charm!
