We had the pleasure of administering 90 doses of the Moderna COVID 19 vaccine at FMC today! We want to thank everyone who came to get their vaccine. The more people we vaccinate, the closer we come to herd immunity which will eventually help all of us to return to our regular or “normal” routines. We would also like to give a special thanks to those who hurried over at the last minute so we could insure that no doses went to waste.

Last but not least we would like to thank all of our awesome staff and volunteers: Dr. Duncan, Dr. Dani, Ellen, Heather, Kaye, Michelle, Dina, Bree, Darlene, Bert, Marcie, Georgina, Janet, Kim, Amy, Lisa, Emily, Logan, Logan W., Olivia, and Abbey. We could not have done this without you!

04/24/2021

We have 6 extra doses of the Moderna COVID 19 vaccine that can be given first come first served. We don't want them to go to waste. Call or show up if you live close!

Spring is finally here! However, with spring comes allergy season. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it can be difficult to determine if your symptoms are from allergies or from Covid-19 as they both have a number of the same symptoms. If you are unsure which is causing your symptoms, please get tested. You can find testing locations in Genesee County by visiting our website at https://www.gchd.us/covid19testing/

Our 2020 influenza vaccines have arrived and we will begin administering them today (9/21/2020)! We recommend the influenza vaccine to everyone 6 months and older as long as you do not have an allergy or specific medical reason that prevents you from receiving it.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic our influenza vaccine administration will be a little different this year:

We cannot offer walk-in influenza vaccines at this time, an appointment will need to be scheduled with our vaccine staff. These appointments will be scheduled at 20 minute intervals during regular business hours Monday through Friday. To maintain efficiency for this process the vaccine will be administered by a staff member dedicated to this task.
Please contact the office at 810-629-2245 to schedule your vaccine appointment time as soon as possible. Spouses and other family members may be scheduled to receive the vaccine at the same appointment time.
Patients will need to have had an appointment in the last 12 months to be able to schedule a "flu vaccine only" appointment.
Children 4 years old and under will need to schedule with one of our providers to receive the influenza vaccine.
Influenza vaccines may also be administered during regular scheduled appointments with our providers.
We thank you for your continued patience with our modified processes during this time.

We want to thank everyone for your patience with our staff during these unprecedented and uncertain times. Our staff is adapting to a new way of practicing medicine and there may be some additional time spent to help make sure we keep everyone safe. We will remain in the office for the duration of this pandemic so we may meet your medical needs both in person if necessary and by televisit (video visit) whenever possible. We are asking everyone to wait in their cars and call the office to let us know you have arrived for your appointment, you may be placed on hold so please be patient. We also ask that everyone wear a face mask to your appointment and while in the halls of our building (cloth is fine) per CDC guidelines. Please do not wear gloves into our building since this may bring outside contamination into our facility. You may wash your hands or use our hand sanitizer during or after your appointment. Again, thank you for your understanding and please contact the office if you have any questions.

We just want our patients to know we are here for you and we will remain open during this time. We have modified our work flow to minimize risk of exposure to coronavirus for both our patients and our staff. We have televisits available for many issues including routine refills. You will need a smart phone or a computer with a camera to participate in a televisit, please contact the office if you are interested. For anyone who is thinking of canceling their appointment, you can consider changing it to a televisit instead. Some of our staff are available for phone consultation to help decide if we need to evaluate you in person or if we can handle it by other means. We know these are uncertain times and people have a lot of concerns. Our patients are still our number one priority and we are working hard to serve you with minimal or no risk of exposure to COVID 19.

COVID-19 Update:
We are open and we are seeing patients during this time including those who are healthy and in need of routine office visits. To minimize the risk of exposure of healthy individuals to ill individuals, we are seeing well people only from the time we open until early afternoon. That includes people who need routine medication refills, injuries, suspected urinary tract infections, etc. We are seeing sick visits (respiratory illness) in the later afternoon after a brief break to insure we do not have well and ill individuals in the waiting room at the same time.
