Let's hop on this trend because 2016 was a big year for me!
2016:
- Graduated from SLU with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Got engaged!
- Went on a graduation trip with my dad to Iceland.
- Received my first physical therapy license from the state of Idaho with plans to file for reciprocity in the states of Illinois and Missouri....It's a story and there's a reason.
- Started my first big girl job at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Belleville, IL doing inpatient rehabilitation.
- Started cardio kickboxing.
Today:
- My husband and I are still going strong, and now have a beautiful family together.
- I do CrossFit and dabble in martial arts when I get the opportunity.
- I own and operate Adapt Performance Physio inside of Fit Gym in Fenton.
I've done a lot of learning, growing, and exploring to get to the place I am today. 2016 me had ZERO plans of opening my own outpatient clinic. In fact, I adamantly was against it.....but I'm glad I did it. These 10 years have been tough, and I thought about leaving the PT profession altogether several times.
Having my own clinic has given me the ability to not only help people the way I've always dreamed, but to also love my job again. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged and believed in me along the way.
Love you guys!
