Two weeks ago, our Lead Prevention Educator, Christy Harter, visited Central Montcalm Upper Elementary School (CMUE) to teach the Kids Have Rights program. During the lesson, students learned about body safety and Safe Adults. Thank you to CMUE staff and students for welcoming Christy into your fourth-grade classrooms! ❤

Kids Have Rights educates and empowers students, school staff, parents, and caregivers to recognize, prevent, and stop child sexual abuse. The program teaches body safety education to elementary-age students through interactive, engaging classroom lessons. Students are taught how to recognize touches and situations that are, or may be unsafe, and provided with the language and support needed to seek help from a Safe Adult when needed.

Do you have a heart for helping others? Join our IM SAFE Child Advocacy Center Volunteer SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Program and make a difference in the lives of children and adolescent victims of sexual assault.

As an IM SAFE CAC Volunteer SANE Advocate, you will provide comfort, emotional support, and resources to victims during medical exams, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and empowered every step of the way!

The IM SAFE CAC's Youth Advocacy Council (YAC) members were back at the CAC last week for their monthly meeting! They participated in a team-building activity, discussed fundraising plans, and started brainstorming about their service project for the year.

Their service project will positively impact our community and the lives of children affected by sexual and physical abuse. We are so excited to see it all come together!
