It’s been a minute (month or so) since I’ve made a post, but life sure has been life-ing. 😅 Son in boot camp, major surgery, losing my sweet momma, then not long after that losing my uncle…it’s been a lot. But I’ve stayed busy and God continues to show up and provide me with beautiful moments to help me get through the tough stuff. January has been an absolutely amazing doula month for me, full of the most beautiful births! I feel so blessed and fortunate to have attended 3 perfect home births and 2 totally serene hospital births this month! Each one so very special in such unique ways…my heart is full and I’m oh so proud of my clients who were all such a joy to serve. I even managed to teach a few classes in and amongst it all! Thankful for a job that fills my cup. 🤍

Postpartum baby snuggles and momma debriefs are such a perk of the job! 🥹 This sweet lil cutie got her directions mixed up and needed a little help from the magnificent Dr Seibel to find her way into momma’s arms. The doctors, nurses and midwives at UF North take such care to keep birth intimate and calm with their gentle cesareans. ✨ Such a beautiful calm birth for my client and her husband who were prepared for birth, no matter the scenario!

After a full 24 hours of playing hard to get, my clients sweet baby boy decided to finally make it to his Thanksgiving birthday party! 🥰 It’s cake AND pie for this little turkey who sure made his momma work. Thankfully she had what it takes to see it through, and what a sweet reward he is! 🧡

I LOVE being able to offer to my clients as a part of my complete doula services! Not only does it give me more of a chance to bond with my clients and their partners, but it also helps empower these dads to really know how to step up and show out for their beloved when it comes time for labor. My goal is always to have my clients and their partners walk into birth with their eyes wide open, feeling fully prepared for whatever birth may throw at them. With this class, I am able to help mom feel more confident that her partner is empowered and ready to take on all of his tasks during the process as well. Labor is an endurance sport for both mom and dad and being prepared for it is key!

Today I sent my baby boy, who’s all of a sudden a big strong man, off to the Coast Guard. It was gut wrenching to let him go, but I can’t deny the pride I feel for the man he’s become. I know God will guide and protect him, and I’m counting down the days until I can hold him again. ❤️🤍💙
