Home Health Care Plans (POC’s) are the scripts agencies should use to take care of patients. The interventions and goals should be updated frequently to reflect the real time status of your patient care and resources. At K&K we will review them for compliance but will not create and maintain them, as clinicians need to lead this aspect and invest in the updates as needed.

We always recommend that you also reach out to us the minute you receive notification of an ADR. We will take the headache out of responding and provide education for any deficiencies we may uncover. Make sure to access any of these portals that your MAC offers as it will help you avoid the most common reason for ADR denial which is always "Auto Denial — Requested Records Not Submitted."

Home Health agencies have long used non-compete agreements to make sure their clinical and/or leadership staff cannot be poached readily. These agreements also limit the ability of an employee to jump to a competitor without issue. Medicare Advantage plans often fall short of their responsibility of care for their beneficiaries. This is very obvious, with the ongoing authorization requirements, and often delays care, in Home Health. Thankfully, CMS has provided a new way to collect information of these shortcomings. Make sure to share with your patients too.
