Congratulations to everyone from the Submission Grappling end of Team Cortex for their outstanding showing at Detroit yesterday! For most of our competitors, this was their first competition, and they did great, and represented their team and in a way that we are all proud of. Everyone competed in both Gi and NoGi, and everyone had between 5 and 10 matches throughout the day. Two golds, two silvers, a fourth place showing, and just all around great effort. Lots of wins, lots of lessons learned, and a great showing of support and respect for one another, and the other teams present. Thatâs whatâs most important. Respect. Respect for yourself, your teammates, your coaches, your competition, the event, and the sport/art itself. Again, tons to be proud of. Onto the next one!
