Raise them with emotional intelligence.

With a parent who goes to therapy.
Who focuses on emotional maturity.
Who does the work behind closed doors so their children don’t have to carry it later.

It looks like pausing before reacting.
Repairing after conflict.
Choosing awareness over pride.

Emotional intelligence begins long before our children can fully understand it
It begins in how we handle our own emotions.

Our children grow in the direction of what we model.
And that growth starts with us.

Welcome to our newest Honey team member, Matt Brittsan, LPC 🎉

His work centers on sexual health and connection, trauma around loss, supporting parents raising children and teens with aggression or big behaviors, couples newly transitioning to parenthood, and men’s mental health, especially around shame, stress, emotional isolation, and the pressures men place on themselves and their partners.

He sees both Michigan and Ohio individuals and couples and has both evening and daytime availability.

If this feels impossible, it’s because it is.
Real motherhood is messy. It’s emotional. It’s beautiful and exhausting. And none of that means you’re failing.

You’re not behind.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re responding to a role that was never meant to be carried alone.

Which one on this list hit home for you?
Share this with a mama who needs the reminder that she’s doing better than she thinks ❤️

February is officially full, and March is almost there!!

The Honey Evening Moms Group is a monthly evening gathering for women in all stages of motherhood, from postpartum to raising pre-teens to perimenopause and everything in between.

This is a space to talk honestly about what it means to be a mother and a woman, without having to explain yourself, perform wellness, or rush toward solutions.

Come as you are.
Once a month.
In the evening.
With other women who get it.

No pressure. No performance. Just real connection.
Join us, Honey! We’d love to meet you.

Hurt people hurt people.

Emotional literacy helps us pause, name what’s happening, and choose differently.

It’s how cycles get broken in ourselves, in our families, and in our communities.

Postpartum mental health is not one-dimensional. For many, it shows up through heightened reactivity, emotional shutdown, or anger—responses that are frequently misunderstood rather than recognized.

When we change the lens, we change the care that’s possible.

Save it, or share it with someone who may need to hear it too 🤍

For 11 years, this group has held space for moms in the newborn season.
Hundreds of moms. Many different stories.
The same need to not do this alone.

As we’ve grown, the heart of the group has stayed the same.
A place to show up as you are.
And walk this season with others who are right there too.

Our next newborn group begins February 3 🤍
