105 years ago, a photo was taken outside the Carnation Oxford Building- our spa’s home- on the very same day women earned the right to vote. ✨

In August, we recreated the original 1920 photo on the exact same date and in the very same spot. The idea came from Flow Motion owner Alyssa Springs, who invited business owners + employees, building owners Brad and Rhonda Oxford, and other members of the Oxford family to take part in the photo.

Together, we gathered to celebrate the rich history of Ferndale, honor current businesses in the Carnation building, and create a moment for future generations to look back on (and maybe even recreate, too!).

Only later did we learn that the original photo was taken on the very same day the 19th Amendment was officially certified. Now, 50% of the businesses in the Carnation Oxford building are women-owned—a beautiful coincidence. 💜
