Letโ€™s come together, support one another, and remind this family they are not alone. โค๏ธ

I have an update about Luckyโ€ฆ thank you all so much for your prayers. We are deeply grateful. ๐Ÿ™

Spirit is truly guiding this journey. As we drove him to the vet, my prayer was simply for a little more time to be able to say goodbye in a loving, intentional way. Everything was happening so fast, and I felt that I, the other animals, and our beautiful community needed more time with this sweet boy. Those prayers were answered.

The vet has placed Lucky on pain medication, which will hopefully allow him to have a good quality of life for at least a couple more weeks, or possibly a month. Of course, we never truly know, and we continue to believe in miracles. I will let divine guidance lead every step of this journey, and I would never allow him to suffer unnecessarily.

I am so grateful for this extra time. I will be planning a celebration of Lucky for our community, an opportunity for all who feel called to come and share love with him. ๐Ÿ’• He will continue to spend time at the boutique, as long as it feels aligned and a blessing for him.

As we all know, Lucky absolutely loves the community. He is such a sweet soul who just wants to soak up all the love, all the time.

Thank you to everyone who has been there for him over the years. Thank you for loving him, watching him for me, taking him outside, changing his diaper, and giving him treatsโ€ฆ it all means more than I can express.

Sending so much love and gratitude to each of you. ๐Ÿ’œ

Our Story

The Lavender Hour is the most beautiful time of the day, when we reach our heights of creativity, settle into deep conversations with friends, and open the door to meditation and contemplation of life. It's during that time - the moment after sunset before the night begins, that we would talk about our intentions to open a family business. Along with our mother Terri Mercer, we (Katy and Mariah) spun idea after idea, planning one day to combine forces and pour our unique passions for yoga, meditation, mindfulness, projects and gatherings, spiritual enrichment and empowerment, learning play dates, local art, and dedication to emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being into a nebulous project called The Lavender Hour.

Unfortunately, in March 2019, Terri lost her fight with pancreatic cancer, but her dream still lives on in her daughters. She taught her family how to dream big and then breathe it into being, to find and make art in all that surrounds them, and to choose kindness. And so that is what we choose to do at The Lavender Hour, a space where all seekers are welcome, where we can build community, and simply scatter joy.
