Jean Logan

Jean Logan, 96, of Findlay entered her home in heaven and saw her Savior and Lord Jesus, Friday, November 7, 2025. Jean was born in Cape May, New Jersey on April 16, 1929, to the late James and Katherine (Bernard) Matthews.

Jean graduated from Lower Township High School in Cape May in 1947. She was the head majorette, along with many other school activities.

Jean married Charles Logan who preceded in her death after 42 years of marriage. Also, preceding her in death were two brothers, James H. Matthews and William B. Matthews; and sister, Vera Whilden.

Jean is survived by her children, Kim (Mark) Ruggles and Matthew Logan, both of Findlay; grandchildren, Chloe (Patrick) Reagan, Libby Logan, Becca (Matt) Geris, Sara (Adam) Boutwell, Steve (Maggie) Ruggles; and great-grandchildren, Molly Reagan, Quinn Geris, Emery Geris, Regan Boutwell, Summer Boutwell and Wren Ruggles. Jean worshipped her Jesus at Living Hope Church since the church began as Findlay Evangelical Free Church at the YMCA in 1987. Jean’s friend, Becky Roorbach, led her to new life in Christ in 1971 in Trenton, New Jersey. From that time, her lifelong passion and desire was to lead anyone and everyone to come to know and follow Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life! She was a true Matriarch, queen in our family, and her love for Jesus overflowed as she shined her light boldly for His glory! Jean passionately served Jesus as the manager of a Christian bookstore, teaching many women’s bible studies, and women’s Sunday School classes. Jean’s love for her Lord led her to disciple and lead many, many hearts to faith and trust in Jesus.

We will celebrate her life on Tuesday, November 11 at Living Hope Church, 2515 Heatherwood Dr., Findlay, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Thomas J. Walls

Thomas J. Walls, 70, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at The Ohio State University Hospital.

Tom was born on August 28, 1955, in Indiana, to Eastel Walls and Ruby (Mann). In March of 1988, Tom married Laura Jean Miller, who survives.

A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Tom was a dedicated Christian and a member of the VA. He lived a life full of stories that he loved to share with anyone who would listen. Tom never met a stranger; he welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart.

He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: casting a fishing line, sharing a meal, and spending time with family. He had a deep love for oldies music, especially the Beatles, and never turned down a chance to dance. Even in the face of goodbye, he danced with joy—a true testament to his enduring spirit.

In addition to his wife Laura, Tom is survived by his children Boe (Jess) Walls, Laci (Chris) Papagelis, Angel (Jake) Von Stein, and Dalton (Jen) Walls; and four beloved grandchildren, Baylor Walls, Arthur, Sam, and Astrid Walls. To his family, he was more than a husband, father, and grandfather. He was an anchor, protector, and friend.

Tom is also survived by his brothers, Tim Walls, Todd Walls, and Brian Walls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Rowe and Eastel Walls, and his brother, Terry Walls.

Tom’s warmth, humor, and generous nature will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Per the family’s wishes, no formal services will be held. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Tom’s family.

Memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to Musicians On Call in his honor.
