It is very very difficult to ask family or friends such a huge request of themselves but if you could please share this around in the hopes there might be someone out there that would be interested in giving the gift of life to our sweet girl we would be forever grateful. The link to learn about and apply for living donation is below, the full name for the health survey is Georgia Nadine Eighmy:

Happy tears alert! IV is out and Georgia is approved for discharge. Her dad has been amazing, being the only family member allowed at the hospital to help G navigate through all of the final appointments...receiving a kidney transplant in the middle of a pandemic is no joke but she did it!! We are so happy and grateful she is on her way home 🍑💚

This just in; both patients are out of surgery and doing great. Georgia’s surgeon said the kidney is already “pinking” up and making urine! Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and righteous good vibes.

Thanks everyone for all of your likes, shares, good thoughts and prayers. Happy New Year to all with love ~ The Eighmy’s 💚🍑

💚 🍑As Georgia’s mom, I have begun the testing to hopefully become the living kidney donor for our girl. I’m not going to lie it’s a little invasive and a tiring process but as my sister and Georgie’s favorite aunt Shelley said “keep your eye on the prize” and that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m not approved quite yet so we are asking y’all to please keep liking and sharing G’s page. Did you also know the donor’s medical costs are covered under the recipient? I’ve learned so much through this process and our transplant team has been awesome. Here’s our beautiful girl taking a little break at work...her hard work, bravery and tenacity amazes me every day.

💚🍑 Fun fact! Did you know people can live normal lives with only one kidney. As long as the donor is evaluated thoroughly and cleared for donation, he or she can lead a normal life after the surgery. When the kidney is removed, the single normal kidney will increase in size to compensate for the loss of the donated kidney! Here’s our girl enjoying the last days of summer in the pool
