A little look back at a day of good food, laughter, and connection with our Fort Wayne team.

Our Q1 outing gave us a chance to step away from our busy schedules, share stories, and spend time together outside of our therapy sessions. Moments like these help strengthen the connections that make our team so special.

We’re incredibly grateful for the therapists and staff who bring so much dedication, care, and heart to the families we serve every day. When a team supports each other, it creates an even stronger foundation for the kiddos and families we work with.

Thank you to our amazing Fort Wayne team for everything you do. 💛

Happy April Fool’s Day! 😄

A little silliness can go a long way when it comes to learning. Playful surprises give your kiddo a chance to practice cognitive flexibility – learning how to adapt when something unexpected happens.

Try a simple game at home: place a few items on the table (like a spoon, toy, and cup), let your kiddo take a good look, then remove one and ask, “What’s missing?” You can also mix things up with a silly riddle or a fun guessing game.

These lighthearted moments build problem-solving, curiosity, and flexible thinking, which are all important skills that help your kiddo feel more confident navigating everyday situations.

And the best part? When learning feels like play, kiddos are more likely to explore, laugh, and try again. 💛

As March comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what “growing forward” truly means. 🌱

It means recognizing that progress doesn’t always arrive in big, dramatic milestones. More often, it shows up in small, steady steps, a smoother transition, a new word, a little more patience during a tough moment. Those quiet wins matter.

Growing forward is about consistency over perfection. It’s about showing up, building trust, and supporting your kiddo with care day after day. And realising that over time, those small efforts turn into meaningful, lasting growth.

At Grateful Care ABA, we’re honored to be a trusted partner for families seeking compassionate, evidence-based autism support. If you’re ready to take the next step, our team is here to walk alongside you.

To the parents who show up tirelessly and selflessly every single day, we see you. 🫶

The early mornings. The constant transitions. The emotional energy it takes to stay patient and steady. When you care as deeply as you do, it’s no surprise that burnout can quietly creep in.

If you’re feeling exhausted, it doesn’t mean you’re falling short. It means you’ve been giving so much. And you deserve support, too.

Taking time to rest, reset, or ask for help isn’t stepping away from your kiddo’s progress; it’s strengthening the foundation of your home. And at Grateful Care ABA, we’re here to support your entire family with care, guidance, and compassion whenever you need it. 💫

Here’s a fun sensory idea for World Water Day 💧

Fill a bin with water and let your kiddo explore. Practice pouring between cups, add bubbles for scooping fun, freeze small toys in ice for a “treasure rescue,” or set up a simple pretend car wash station. And remember: it doesn’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful.

As they pour, squeeze, scrub, and follow small directions, they’re strengthening fine motor skills, building focus, practicing sequencing, and even supporting emotional regulation. And because it feels like play, confidence grows naturally along the way.

Keep it simple. Keep it playful. And let those small splashes turn into meaningful growth.

Transitions can be some of the hardest parts of the day.

Moving from playtime to dinner. From home to school. From one activity to the next. Even small shifts can feel big to your kiddo.

Here are three gentle ways to make transitions feel smoother: ✨ Use a calm countdown to give your kiddo time to prepare.
✨ Add visual cues so they can see what’s coming next.
✨ Offer small choices to build cooperation and a sense of control.

These strategies may seem small, but they reduce stress, build predictability, and strengthen confidence over time.

And if transitions are feeling especially overwhelming lately, you don’t have to troubleshoot them alone. Our team is here to support you with practical, personalized guidance that fits your family’s real-life routines. 💛

Hello, spring! 🌸

There’s something about a new season that makes everything feel possible. Windows open. Light stays a little longer. And suddenly, growth feels a little easier to notice.

Maybe this season brings a new skill. Maybe it brings more confidence during transitions. Or maybe it simply brings steadier routines that make the day feel smoother. Every bit of progress counts.

Spring reminds us that growth doesn’t happen all at once; it unfolds gradually, in its own time. And with the right support in place, those small, steady steps begin to add up in ways that truly matter. 🌱

If you’re thinking about what this next season could look like for your kiddo, our Initial Assessments are designed to create a personalized plan that meets them right where they are. Find out more by clicking here: https://buff.ly/f3tj215

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

And even though today is all about luck, when it comes to your kiddo’s progress, it’s not luck that makes the difference.
It’s the steady routines you keep.
The patience you practice.
The consistency that builds trust over time.

Growth in ABA therapy doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built through small, intentional steps repeated with care and consistency.

Those smoother transitions, clearer communication, and growing independence you’re starting to see aren’t by chance; quite the opposite, they’re the result of teamwork, thoughtful guidance, and support that shows up day after day.

Happy Pi Day! 🥧✨

Who says learning can’t be a little playful (and maybe a little delicious)? Today is the perfect excuse to turn simple moments into fun learning opportunities at home.

Try drawing and decorating circles, sorting round snacks like crackers or cereal, counting chocolate chips, or baking something together and talking through each step. You can practice counting, sequencing, following directions, and even waiting patiently for a treat to bake. 🍪

The best part? When learning feels like play, kiddos are more confident to try, explore, and stick with it.

Some days feel steady. Other days feel overwhelming. And somewhere in between, you might wonder if you’re doing enough. 💛

Here’s a gentle reminder: you don’t have to get it perfect. Your kiddo doesn’t need perfection – they need your presence. The way you keep showing up, even on the hard days, is what builds trust, safety, and growth over time.

And you don’t have to carry it alone. We’re here as a partner to guide, support, and walk alongside your family throughout your kiddo’s journey. 🫶
