Getting everything ready for our exciting events coming up this Friday! We’re busy prepping for our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch followed by the Bird Sanctuary Ceremony. From making special gifts, touching up birdhouses with fresh paint, to organizing silverware and all the little details—everyone is pitching in to make the day extra special.
We would truly be lost without our amazing volunteers, interns, and dedicated board members who give so much of their time and heart to our campus. A huge shoutout to Gene, our President, Lori, our Vice President, and Tammie, our Secretary, for their leadership, support, and dedication. We appreciate all that you do!

Please help us congratulate our Employee of the Month, Fabiola from Housekeeping! Her compassion, patience, and caring heart shine through in everything she does. She goes above and beyond each day to meet the needs of our residents, always with a smile and a willingness to help. It’s no surprise she’s a fan favorite among the residents! Nothing brings the guys together like a good old-fashioned Men’s Breakfast! Ed hosted a hearty morning filled with homemade pancakes, sausage, eggs, and all the fixings for a true hungry man’s meal. From talking shop to sharing stories, laughter, and fellowship filled the room. Great food always tastes better when shared with good company and great conversation. Celebrating Earth Day the sweetest way possible—with Dirt Pudding and of course, you have to add the worms! 🌎🐛🍫
All you need is chocolate pudding, crushed Oreos, whipped cream, and gummy worms to create this fun and delicious treat. Our residents had a blast putting together their “dirt cups” and enjoying every sweet bite.

Our very first Paint & Sip was a colorful, laughter-filled success with our wonderful instructor, ! We brought the fun straight to our community, turning an ordinary day into a tropical escape full of creativity and good vibes. With a little red or white wine in hand, everyone was suddenly seeing their masterpieces much more clearly!
Our theme was tropical parrots—bright, bold, and full of personality—just like our residents! Paint brushes were flying, laughter filled the room, and every canvas came to life with beautiful colors and unique artistic flair. Even the Life Enrichment team got to put down the planner, pick up a paintbrush, and join in on the fun instead of leading the activity!

Our first Paint & Sip was a huge success! We were excited to welcome our amazing instructor, DecorbyDannie, who brought creativity and fun right to our community. Residents had been wanting to enjoy a paint and sip experience, and the best way to make it happen was to bring the experience to them. Guests enjoyed red or white wine while painting a beautiful tropical parrot filled with bright, vibrant colors. The room was full of laughter, fun, and creativity as everyone expressed their artistic side. It was a wonderful afternoon and definitely something we will be doing again!

During this month’s volunteer visit, participants had the opportunity to not only prepare homemade treats but also personally deliver them to the feline section of the shelter. After crafting the treats earlier in the day, the group made a special stop to share them with the cats, creating a warm moment filled with compassion, gentle petting, and connection with their furry friends.
This hands-on interaction is always a monthly highlight, giving everyone a chance to slow down, show love, and spend meaningful time with the animals in need of care and attention. Each visit continues to strengthen the bond between volunteers and the shelter residents, making every trip rewarding and memorable.

Residents enjoyed another meaningful day during their monthly volunteer visit the Humane Society for Hamilton County (Indiana), continuing their ongoing commitment to supporting local animals in need.
During today’s visit, the group stayed busy assisting with a variety of hands-on tasks, including filling enrichment items for dogs and preparing homemade cat treats to help feed and care for the shelter’s feline residents. Each activity provided an opportunity to give back while learning more about the daily needs of shelter animals.
A highlight of the day was a special visit from Ray, a beautiful and friendly husky currently waiting for his forever home. With his gentle temperament and responsive nature, Ray quickly captured everyone’s hearts and made quite the impression.
The group looks forward to returning each month, continuing to serve, support, and make a positive impact within the shelter and the wider community. Priority Life Care

We are officially putting the pieces together for our new bird sanctuary! Today, the foundation took shape as we set the poles 3 feet deep into the ground, securing them with cement, stone, and careful packing to ensure lasting strength. Each post is standing tall and sturdy, ready for the next step.
Next up, we are preparing the birdhouses to be placed on top of the poles, bringing our vision to life. Soon, this peaceful space by the lake will be filled with charm, color, and new homes for our feathered friends. It’s already shaping up to be something truly beautiful for our community to enjoy. 🐦
