The DEEP SQUAT is a great assessment tool that is not often used when looking at joint health of the legs and low back.

It is an easy way to determine if someone has mobility issues that need to be addressed.

Steps:
1 - Can you get into the position? (feet flat on the floor)
2 - How long can you hold the position for?

If you cannot get into the DEEP SQUAT position, then you likely need to work on improving ankle/hip/low back mobility.

If you cannot stay in the position for more than 2 minutes, then you likely have some stability issues that need addressed.
