To put it simply, a subluxation is a tiny misalignment in your spine that creates “static” on your nerves. Your brain is the master computer, and your nerves are the high-speed cables that tell your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe, and your muscles to move. When a vertebra (one of your back bones) gets stuck or shifts slightly out of place, it “kinks the cable.”
Imagine you’re on an important call and you head into a tunnel. You can still hear the person, but the call is choppy and breaking up. A subluxation is like that “tunnel”, it interferes with the signal between your brain and your body.
