Are your kids having melt downs this season? Did you know that uncontrolled emotional outbursts can be do to sympathetic or "fight or flight" dominance in the brain leading to a disruption in our logical "thinking" part of the brain that down regulates or controls sympathetic tone? Recent studies done by Dr. Heidi Haavik show that adjustments stimulate the "logical thinking" part of the brain called your prefrontal Cortex. This can help with emotional regulation allowing you to actually "talk" to your child when they are in a melt down! Pretty cool stuff!! ⛄️ ❄️
