Meet Augusta Health’s First Baby of 2026, Thomas Michael! He was born at 12:22 a.m. on Thursday, January 1 weighing 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 21.25 inches. Thomas is the second child of Katelyn and Alex of Stuarts Draft, and his middle name honors his late great-grandfather.

The delivering provider was Betsy Simms, MD, and nursing care for the mother and baby was provided by Mary Frazier, RN, Erin Schumacher, RN, and Anita Kudlyuk, RN. Both mother and baby are doing wonderfully. Best wishes for a joyful and fulfilling year ahead as they celebrate their new family member.
