Don’t risk your vision to look extra scary at Halloween. 🎃 AVOID WEARING COSTUME CONTACT LENSES bought in a store or online without a prescription. Corneal abrasions due to an improper fit are possible, as are infections due to non-sterile materials. (It doesn’t matter what the non-regulated brand states on its packaging about sterility.) The risk to your eyes is simply not worth it. Since this fad is popular among teens, be extra vigilant with your older kids’ choice of costume. 👀

🌙 Night driving shouldn’t feel stressful. We have solutions to help make it as comfortable as possible:

To ensure you receive the most up-to-date vision care when you visit us, your SDEC eye care team regularly participates in continuing education. Our doctors and staff attended the Hudson Valley Optometric Society Fall Seminar, held on October 3 at the Poughkeepsie DoubleTree Hotel.

Educational topics (followed by some fun) included updates on ocular complications of common prescription drugs, eye-related antibiotics, pediatric amblyopia, and the latest product advances in lenses, contact lenses, and eyewear frames.
