I hope we’ll see you at Walk With a Doc on Saturday (March 7) at 9 a.m at McKee Farms Park to meet new people, get some fresh air, and hang out with a doctor. Wendy Molaska, MD will be giving a health talk about the best medicine – laughter! Please bring your favorite jokes to share during the walk!

Feel free to invite friends, children, or your pets. Everyone is welcome! Participants are encouraged to ask questions and walk at their own pace. It has been great to see participants of all ages.

You can join every first Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. at McKee Farms Park, location made possible by sponsorship with YMCA of Dane County, Inc. and Wisconsin Medical Society and our wonderful physician leaders and clinics Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin and Dedicated Family Care.

I am so honored to be elected to the Direct Primary Care Alliance Board of Directors. The DPCA is a national physician run organization to help advance the movement of . I look forward to working with other DPC physicians from across the country to provide education, mentorship, and advocacy to further advance direct primary care.

Immigration clinic day at DFC!
Not only are we a clinic, Dr. Molaska is also a civil surgeon. Today we have set aside to see patients needing immigration exams to update their status. Thanks to my hard working staff Anyi Boris Serrano Cachiguango, Ingrid Siles/Ortiz, Sarayana Amaguaña Cachiguango and to our wonderful clinic volunteer Shradda Bhide we are scheduled to see 23 patients today!

Happy to be able to help spread the word about direct primary care (DPC).

The one part that is wrong in this article is the health economist Sacks saying that only 5% of healthcare is spent on primary care. While this statement is true the premise is wrong - in the US we far underspend on primary care which is the part of the problem.

At direct primary care clinics, patients pay a membership fee that covers basic appointments and screenings, bypassing insurance. Many patients pair it with a high-deductible plan, but some are now forgoing insurance altogether.

Today at Dedicated Family Care we celebrated International Migrants Day by holding another immigration clinic all day at the clinic!

International Migrants Day (IMD) is observed on 18 December, reaffirming the need for safer, more inclusive, and fairer migration systems in a rapidly changing world. Despite its proven benefits, migration remains poorly understood, and systems often lack the investments, partnerships, and evidence needed to respond to today’s realities.

We hope that our efforts will help those migrants in our communities! Thank you to my amazing staff who helped all the patients who came through our doors feel welcomed!
