This year we challenged our teams to create a gingerbread house using only materials they had available in their clinics or office location and they exceeded our expectations! 🎨 The Wausau team put their pipe cleaners and recycled materials to the test, while the billing crew made decorations from rubber bands, paper clips and other office supplies. The creativity was in full force and we love projects that bring our staff and clients together. These types of projects are also great for the cold winter days when sessions are kept indoors. ⛄

We are sharing a winter weather update impacting our Wausau clinic location this morning. The clinic will open for in-person sessions starting at 11am today, 12/29. All sessions scheduled to start at or before 10:30am will be held virtually. 💻 ❄️
All Dane County CI clinic locations are open and sessions will be held as scheduled. As always, we are happy to accomodate families who wish to switch their child's session to virtual versus in-person. You can do so by calling us at 608-819-6394 or by emailing your therapy team directly.

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of the CI community. Together we donated over 200 new books to Madison Reading Project and McLit this holiday season! Special shout out to the Fitchburg Clinic families and staff for contributing 50 books to our total!

A few members of our Advance team had fun trying out the imposter challenge social media trend. In this challenge, one person from the group is secretly designated the "imposter" and tries to blend in with the group. Other players are all given the same secret word and are instructed to give one-word clues related to that secret word. The imposter must try to guess what to say to appear as a regular player without being caught. Unfortunately, our "imposter" revealed herself by guessing the secret word. đź¤
Let's help our imposter out for next time! Can you think of other words to describe our Rainbow Play system that's housed in our beautiful Advance Center? 🛝
We believe in making therapy fun and functional, so of course our staff deserve to have a whole lot of fun too!

During CI's recent staff training days, our OT and speech teams had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about supporting executive functioning skills using 360 Thinking and the 'Get Ready. Do. Done.' planning process. Our team waisted no time incorporating what they learned into sessions and have loved seeing clients responding so well to the approach. CI is the largest private pediatric therapy clinic in the Midwest. What began as a single speech and language pathologist has now grown into a team of over 100 passionate, experienced, and dedicated staff in a variety of disciplines across six clinic locations.
While those stats sound good on paper and we are proud of the company, do you want to know what really makes us proud?
The giggles of a kiddo having a blast in therapy. The look of relief from a dad who gets an hour to run an errand or drink a cup of coffee—uninterrupted. The tears that well in up a mom’s eyes when she learns her kiddo tried a new food during therapy. The sibling who excitedly runs into CI as if its their second home.
We pride ourselves in delivering quality family-centered care. And that lived out by each of our staff members is our driving force. We aim to be advocates, cheerleaders, and a support system for each of our families. We are here to celebrate the victories (big & small).
And when it’s one of those days where nothing seems to be going right, and tears of frustration replace the ones of joy, we’re here, too. Don’t worry, CI is a safe place for your child to have a meltdown. And we’ll have a hot cup of coffee waiting for you (or a lollipop, who says candy is just for kids?!). We rub shoulders with the strongest, most resilient families. And it is a privilege to serve you.
Who Are We?
We believe in a play-based approach. We are experts at disguising hard work as fun. Because who thinks they’re working hard when a physical therapy session can become an adventurous ride on a magic carpet?
We are strengths-based. What does your child love to do? We have a way to make it therapeutic!
We believe in collaboration. It takes a village, and we want to work alongside all of the member’s of your child’s team.
We are evidence-based. There is always more to learn, and while we are always learning from each other, we also stay up-to-date on the latest research.
We even give staff time off to attend conferences!
We are family-centered. We’ve been known to ride the elevator up and down (more times than we can count) to occupy a younger sibling while a therapist recapped the session with mom.
