We were honored to recognize every veteran in our community on Veterans Day! We celebrated with a pinning ceremony followed by festive refreshments and patriotic music. Residents, team members and families mingled together as we expressed our heartfelt gratitude for the service of each veteran.

Family members were also present to celebrate their loved ones. Patriotic boutonnieres were handcrafted by one of our residents, adding a meaningful and personal touch to the event!

A big thank you to the Dancing Grannies that recently came to entertain us all during our fun Friday happy hour! Their magnetic dance performances had many dancing and cheering in the crowd! Towards the end of the show, they also gave a beautiful tribute to our Veterans, which brought a big smile to our Veteran resident Don S.!

Volunteer Emma P. has continued to work very hard as she starts her Pen Pal program for this year between our residents and Northern Arizona University college students! She originally began this program last year for her honors capstone project. It grew into a passion of hers to bridge our seniors with eager participants from her class. We are looking forward to our meet-and-greet soon as our residents will get to spend time with their pen pals in person!

As we approach Veterans Day, we honor Joe and Eddie. Two Purple Heart recipients whose courage shaped history. Joe enlisted on his graduation day in 1943. Eddie volunteered to scout a minefield in Italy. Our blog shares their remarkable stories of sacrifice and the lives they built after the war.

We share the stories of two Purple Heart recipients about their WWII combat stories. Joe and Eddie call The Goodman Group managed communities home, inspiring all who meet them.

The Peaks celebrated Halloween with fun festivities! Our residents got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up, and everyone had a wonderful time as children trick-or-treaters visited our community in their creative costumes. It was a great day!

Our Crochet Club just welcomed a new member! Resident Stella F. learned a new hobby during Crochet Club, making bracelets with an adaptive loom crafted from a simple cardboard box and yarn. She was delighted to see her project come together and even took it with her to continue during her downtime.

Kudos to Life Enrichment Coordinator Ivy M. and Stella’s neighbor for finding creative ways to encourage residents to join in on the fun!
