Hello friends, fam & colleagues! ☀️

After ten wonderful years of working in the massage therapy field, I’ve shifted my focus slightly: please welcome my new web design business, Blue Skies Web Designs.

My specific niche clientele are wellness practitioners, which includes Licensed Massage Therapists, mental health professionals, and any other related superhero. :)

In October 2024, I started studying with a comprehensive web design business course and have been slowly refining my skills and learning a TON about websites, marketing and all things web design.

I am excited to expand my offerings with web design and LMT support services while retaining my massage practice.

If you or someone you know fits into my specific niche and needs a website, please don’t hesitate to reach out or tag them here! I offer both fully customized websites as well as website upgrades for those that already have a website but could use some polishing and support.

Way back in 1999, I met Jenna Wilson Crawley in Tucson, Arizona. We lived in a pink house behind a pizza shop, and we used to drink whiskey on the roof at sunset and recite ee cummings poetry to each other.

Jenna is a force. Her fierce determination to be a damn good human making a positive impact on the world has been a remarkable thing to witness decade after decade. Her laughter is absolutely contagious and her strength is unparalleled.

Like so many in North Carolina, Jenna's family was massively impacted by Hurricane Helene-- but she'll be the first to tell you, they were one of the lucky ones. However, many in her community are facing unimaginable loss and total devastation.

Jenna has worked for many years at the Hospitality House in Boone, NC, where they provide housing, food and mental health services to those in crisis. Their work is needed now more than ever before.

Please consider donating ANY amount to their cause as they celebrate 40 years of service to their community. If you personally cannot donate, please share with others.

To say things have been hard lately is an understatement. I don’t normally post personal details on my business page, but these are unusual times calling us all in different ways.

As a healer and one that holds space for others through times of distress, difficulty, grief and pain, what we’re experiencing has become, in a lot of ways, just another day.

Through the pandemic, people arrived at my table with so much fear, all of us living in our own versions of isolation. A lot of times their session was the only chance they had for touch in a month or a year.

These days, the grief and anxiety people are holding onto in their bodies is palpable.

I want to keep holding space for folks, AND, I have to say, I am tired. I am weary. I need a break.

I lost my most beloved grandmother last month and haven’t taken a pause. I realize my grief is just a tiny drop in the bucket as folks mourn entire families, ancestors, broken systems. The world is in crisis and there are days I’m not sure if there is any hope. I try to be a light for my clients and loved ones, but it’s becoming more challenging.

I recognize I need to practice radical self-care. Likewise, I encourage you all to keep taking care of yourselves and each other. I am blessed beyond measure to have a few select loved ones in my life who shine like gold. Find those folks and lean on them.
