Meet last quarter’s Dust Off award recipient, our lead aviation mechanic in Flagstaff, Raymund Kendall!

Raymund was nominated by his peers at Guardian Air and Metro Aviation for his strong leadership, positive energy, and his get the job done right mentality.

Our aviation mechanics are the silent heroes behind our entire operation. The precision work they do is what keeps us safe in the air by maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Our hats off to the entire team and congrats to Raymund on your nomination!

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the lives lost in the Ranger 56 helicopter crash. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues affected by this tragedy. Our entire community has been affected and we mourn with you.

As we try to process such a tragedy, it’s hard to come up with the right words as our ties run deep with Arizona DPS and their elite Ranger team. For now, please keep the entire DPS family in your hearts ❤️

Today marks 30 years since the devastating Guardian Air king air crash north of Flagstaff, AZ. Stephen Tilley, Karen Peebles, and Laura Parada all lost their lives on this day.

The memory of this team remains etched in the framework of who Guardian Air is today and we will continue to honor their memory by keeping safety at the forefront of all we do.

In non flying news, we’ve adopted a highway in Flagstaff!
Thanks to Mindy, Dru, Josh, Doug, and Trish for taking part in our very first clean up day!
Our team would also like to thank a very special Flagstaff neighbor, Dave Elrod, who brought out cookies and hot chocolate to the crew!

Great teamwork from everyone involved! 💪🏻

Thank you Sedona Fire.

Earlier today, Sedona Fire crews from Station 3 were dispatched to assist an ill mountain biker experiencing a medical emergency in a remote backcountry location.

Due to the patient’s condition and difficult access, Guardian Medical Helicopter was requested as an additional resource. Working together, ground and air crews were able to safely access the patient, provide immediate medical care, and complete a coordinated extrication back to the helicopter. The patient was then flown to a local area hospital for continued treatment and assessment.

Sedona Fire would like to thank Guardian Medical Helicopter and our regional partners for their rapid response, professionalism, and continued strong working relationship. Incidents like this highlight the importance of teamwork when minutes matter—especially in challenging terrain.
