From the CDC Symptoms of Infant botulism:
Most infants with infant botulism will initially develop constipation, poor feeding, loss of head control, and difficulty swallowing, which can progress to difficulty breathing and respiratory arrest. Symptoms of infant botulism, which is diagnosed clinically, can take as long as several weeks to develop following formula ingestion.

We are so proud of Claire, not only for her dedication to the families we serve here at Mountain View Pediatrics, but also for the talents she shares with our wider community. We even got to enjoy sampling some of blue ribbon snap peas!

🌟 Welcome, Jesteny Poesch, PNP! 🌟

We are excited to share that Jesteny Poesch is joining Mountain View Pediatrics and will begin seeing patients on September 2, 2025!

Jesteny is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Mercy University. She brings over six years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience from a leading children’s hospital in Colorado, along with training in multiple pediatric specialties.

Outside the clinic, Jesteny enjoys hiking and running with her Australian Shepherd, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care for kids at every stage of growth.
