Sorry everyone, I made an update to this insurance post to prevent confusion. There are a couple insurance plans that have small closed networks. It's best to just check the Plan Network on the insurance company website to determine if we are in network.

Sprouts Peds Update!
With the new schedule we are able to start taking some new patients again. If you know of anyone that has been waiting, have them give us a call. Current accepted insurances are listed on our main page.

Hi Sprouts family. We have re-worked the clinic schedule to (hopefully) allow for more flexible scheduling. The schedule is open through the end of February and we are hopeful to extend later based on your feedback. Give us a call to schedule your next wellness visit!

Happy Thanksgiving.
Sprouts Peds clinic will be closed Thanksgiving week from 11/25-11/29. We are open again on Monday 12/2/24.

Merry Christmas!
Sprouts Peds is closing early (1pm) on Friday 12/22 and will remain closed for Christmas through 12/26. We will be open normal hours on 12/27 through 12/29.

Happy Fall Season!
Sprouts Pediatrics will be closed and unavailable for appointments/calls from the afternoon of 10/19 through 10/24 while I attend a pediatric conference.

Patients already booked on 10/19 will still be seen.

We will have limited same day appointments available on the morning of 10/19 between 8am-10:30am to take care of the most necessary/urgent issues. These will be offered based on degree of need. Call at 8am and leave a voicemail with concerns if appointment is desired.

Phones will not be answered after 10:45am on 10/19. Please direct any urgent care needs to urgent care or the ER. Direct other care needs to the portal.

Messaging through the portal will still be available during the time I am away. There will be limited availability for telehealth appointments to assist with visible issues: Certain skin issues, pink eye, swimmers ear, and some newborn issues. To request telehealth, contact by portal with a clear/crisp photo in good lighting.

**Update on Insurances and New patients**

Sprouts is slowly opening back up to new patients with limited availability; we currently have reserved spots on our schedule for NEW PATIENTS in June and July; We have gone down our new patient list and have tried our best to reach out to patients that are already on that list. If you would like to become a new patient please call the office and have the following information handy:

- Insurance Information
- Last Wellness Visit Date
- Vaccine information
- Current Chronic Medical Conditions (ie: Asthma, ADHD, etc)
- Current list of medications

Dr. Downey is still unable to manage NEW ADHD patients due to the high volume of existing patients and their need for monthly follow-ups.

Current In-Network Insurances:
-Tricare SELECT
-BCBS (PPO and HMO plans)
-United Healthcare
-Cigna
-Aetna (in network as of 6/16/2023)

**Our office is Still unable to bill to medicaid at this time, and due to issues with referrals and prior authorizations Dr. Downey is not accepting NEW Self-Pay medicaid patients at this time***

Reminder that our Schedules are filling up fast and we are currently booking out wellness visits about 3-4 weeks in advance. If you need a specific day/time for wellness we recommend calling sooner rather than later so we can do our best to accommodate your needs!

Due to increasing patient volume, Starting February 1, 2023, School Physical Form (DH 3040), Shot Record (Form 680), and any school medication forms will be given at all Wellness visits ages 6 months and up (sooner if requested). Forms for chronic illness (such as school asthma/allergy forms) should be requested at the time of the visit.

If any forms are needed in-between appointments (including replacement forms) there will be a $25 fee assessed or an appointment required.
