Congratulations to Ed Hubel, who recently celebrated 30 years at Baptist Health Jacksonville! 💙

Ed has served in many roles in our health system from Baptist Health Jacksonville to Baptist Medical Center Nassau and in his current role as President of Baptist Clay. Ed's servant leadership style has made a lasting impact across our health system — shaping strategy, strengthening operations and elevating care within our hospitals. It's through Ed's vision and commitment to the people of our community that we've grown as much as we have, received multiple awards and provided so many people with the caliber of care they deserve.

Thanks for always making us , Ed. Let's hear it for him in the comments!

There was a sense of celebration in the air as we recently cut the ribbon on our BRAND NEW Baptist Clay OB Emergency Department! 🎗️✂️

This new department was a labor of love, which is only fitting considering how many new lives will be born into loving families under our roof. The rooms are fully-equipped with the best in medical technology, and we've created an environment that lets mothers know they're in the best hands! 💙

Pregnancy can be unpredictable, which is why our 24/7 OB Hospitalist team is here whenever you need support. Starting at 20 weeks’ gestation, you can access emergency obstetrical care in our Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) within the Labor and Delivery unit. Whether you’re experiencing signs of labor or any distress for you or your baby, our OBED team will be ready to evaluate and care for you immediately.

Our OB Hospitalists are physicians specially trained in high-risk and emergency obstetrics, providing peace of mind that you and your baby are receiving care from some of the region’s most experienced experts. 💙

❤️ Today is National Wear Red Day ❤️

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, claiming more lives each year than all forms of cancer combined. Symptoms of heart attack and stroke can look different in women — which is why awareness matters.

At , our Baptist Heart Specialists team is leading the way — and our entire campus joined in wearing red to support women’s heart health. Together, we’re spreading awareness, encouraging heart-healthy habits and reminding women to know the signs and listen to their bodies. ❤️🫀

It’s always inspiring to meet young people that have an interest in working within health care and we were thrilled to host the orientation for Clay High School CNA students last week. 🩺

Every week in February, these students will receive hands-on training in our Med-Surg unit while also gathering for rounds and observations with Intensive Care, Progressive Care, Emergency, Imaging, Surgery, Respiratory Therapy and Rehab. This is a hard-working, passionate group and we’ve got a great feeling that they’re going to make us when they graduate! 💙 💙

We welcomed our first four-legged volunteer to our team on Monday, and she has already begun making “ruff” days a lot easier for patients and team members! 🐾

Please join us in welcoming Lucky, a pet therapy dog who will be visiting our facility every first Monday of the month to spread smiles and good cheer.

She more than passed her initial audition by greeting over 80 team members and a few patients on her first day. It’s not a roll of the dice to say that Lucky will be a huge hit on every one of her visits! 🐾💙

We want to extend our incredible gratitude to Clay County Fire Rescue for donating an ambulance for our new Professional Center for Excellence! 🚑 🚨

Having an ambulance at our training facility allows us to recreate real-world trauma scenarios from the moment of arrival through treatment. By continuously training our team alongside EMTs using a real ambulance during simulated incidents, we’re able to sharpen our skills and deliver more advanced, cutting-edge care than ever before.

Thank you so much to Clay County Fire Rescue for their generosity, and rest assured that we're already putting the ambulance to good use! 💙 💙

Congratulations to one of our health care heroes, Becca, on winning the prestigious DAISY Award! 🌼 🏆

Becca is a registered nurse who embodies consistency and compassion in her interactions with all patients. She actually received TWO nominations for this award and we wanted to share a portion of one from a woman Becca helped as she delivered her first child.

"My gratitude for Becca is immense, and I'm fortunate she was able to be my nurse through my labor and delivery. Her overall care and compassion made all the difference. She brings such value to an already amazing team at Baptist Clay Labor and Delivery."

Becca is an invaluable part of our team and we hope you'll join us in congratulating her in the comments! 🎉

Motherhood can be one of life’s greatest joys — but for many, it also brings emotional challenges that are rarely talked about. We’re grateful to see The Motherhood Space featured in this powerful USA TODAY article, where a mom and neurologist courageously shares her experience with postpartum depression and psychosis. We’re even more honored that The Motherhood Space was there to support her — and hundreds of other moms facing similar challenges. 💙

New Hospital Coming 2022

More than expert medical care, the new hospital will serve as a place for wellness, education and healing

January 22, 2020

To meet the growing need for health care services in Clay County, Baptist Health is planning to build a full-service hospital on its existing Baptist Clay Medical Campus on Fleming Island. Groundbreaking will occur in the spring of 2020, with the hospital opening planned for early 2022.

The 300,000-square-foot, full-service hospital will open with 100 beds, including women’s services and enhanced cardiology services. The hospital will be designed with modern features, including placing diagnostic equipment near the ICU for patients who need it the most, and corridors designed with calming LED lighting, and centralized staff services to minimize noise.
