We’re hiring therapist number EIGHT! Looking for a passionate systemic therapist with evening and/or weekend availability to work in our Flemington office. AMFT or LMFT is preferred, but I will consider all applicants who have experience working with couples and families.

As far as our team goes, we’re a friendly, casual group that likes to have fun together and send the occasional meme in the group chat. We all have our own little niche within systemic work, so we often share perspectives and help each other out.

If you or someone you know could be the perfect fit, please send your resume my way! Full job description is available at PrologueTherapy.com

I learned about The Parking Lot concept from and I thought it was great. Finally, somewhere to corral my constant swarm of ideas!! Then I told my sister about it and she said "so...it's a notebook?" PUH LEASE.

Ok yes, functionally, it's a notebook (mine is the prettiest notebook I ever did see). But the true power is in the system created around it. Humans have very limited working memory, and mine is constantly tied up. So when I have a flash of brilliance, the parking lot is my holding space.

For example, I do not have time right now to build out a weekend couples retreat. But I daydream about it often, and when I have a brilliant idea for something I would want to include, or a way to market it, etc. etc., I park it. The system has decluttered my Notes app, eliminated half a dozen sticky notes around my desk, and stopped me from writing things down in places I am destined never to see again.

Do you have a parking lot system? What does yours look like?

We are so, so lucky to have found our home here on Main Street in Flemington, and we look forward to pouring into our community in every possible way, for as long as you’ll have us. As I said when we won last year, this is only the Prologue 💚

The second meeting of The Healing Shelf did not disappoint ✨ Our discussion spanned grief and loss, travel bucket lists, connection as medicine, and what from our own histories connected us so strongly to this special story.

And the feather wood craft!! For those of you who haven’t read Theo of Golden, Theo befriends a homeless woman named Ellen who introduces him to her invention of feather wood. She sands and drills holes into pieces of wood so she can display feathers that she finds throughout her walks in the town of Golden. Each of our members made their own feather wood and I couldn’t be happier with how they came out.

Next month, we’re reading Thirteen by Steve Cavanaugh. We hope to see you there! You can sign up to join us at the link in our bio :)

Have you read Theo of Golden? What did you think?

Put down your phone and pick up a pen 🖊️ We’re hosting a Snail Mail Social at this week!

The Healing Shelf book club read The Correspondent last month (tomorrow 4/21 we’re meeting to discuss Theo of Golden!) and it got me thinking about the lost art of the handwritten word. So we’re doing something about it! The Snail Mail Social is a letter-writing party to help combat loneliness in senior citizens. We’re partnering with to send your letters to nursing homes all over the country.

No experience necessary, no materials necessary. We’ll provide everything you need from postage and stationery to writing tips and writers fuel (snacks 🍿🍟🥨) If you believe in the power of art, story, and human connection, this one’s for you!

.lcadc donated a full carload of clothes to The Consignment Shop of Flemington on Thursday! 100% of their profits are donated to Hunterdon County agencies that serve survivors of DV.

A big giant thank you to .groovy.collective and .hair for letting us come pick up the few items that were left after their wildly successful Spring Flea Market last Saturday! Some lucky consignment shoppers are about to hit the jackpot when they find their showstopping vintage pieces!! 💃💃

One week ago! (Yesterday, I’m late posting!)

So grateful to have been on the committee that put together this inspiring event for over 100 local business women in Hunterdon County. The 15th annual Women’s Leadership Summit was a perfect example of how when women come together, we uplift and learn from each other. And I’ll take any excuse to spend the morning with the lovely team! 🤗

Ask and you shall receive! Megan is expanding her anxiety group offerings to high school students.

Similar to her pr***en group, Megan intertwines her comedy and improv skills with her counseling skills to form a super fun and low-key experience. She expertly blends actionable coping skills for anxiety with games, art, and socialization. If you know a teenager who could benefit from being around other teens who struggle with anxiety, Megan Sweet has created a really lovely safe space for them to learn and grow 💚
