Allow me to reintroduce myself (in my jay-z voice)

My name is Lexi, owner of Flintstone Conjure, and I’m a diviner, rootworker, herbal medicine practitioner, and IFA devotee🕯️🌱have been since around 2018/2019. I have amazing and wonderful elders and teachers in both paths (hoodoo&ifa).

I’m pretty busy on and off the field, but I love what I do.

In 2021 I started my own business Mind, Body, & Metanoia that was centered around herbal care, crystals, and spiritual services. I took a small loss in product and finances due to a bad vendor and had to cut some ties with my herbal medicines being available for the public, so I just took it as an opportunity to rebrand myself and transition to something centered a little more around rootworking.

Now I sell handmade curios, oils, cleansers, jewelry, and offer a range of spiritual readings and services depending on your condition. I offer assistance still for physical aid using alternative medicine if need be, but most of my work is held through spiritual services now.

Aside from spiritual topics I am a CNA, I enjoy reading, playing video games, listening to music, gardening, parks, and cooking🤍

DM’s are always open for questions and concerns and I’m glad to have been supported this far. I love the community I have cultivated on my socials. The bartering, the love, support, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We will be making a herbal salve with a few simple ingredients

This herbal salve in particular will be made with plantain oil. Known for its healing properties and ability to draw out infection.

Plantain leaf is a go-to for herbal salves to treat common cuts and wounds because this little herb packs a huge punch especially when it comes to drawing out infection.

Plantain Herbal Salves Can Treat🌿

•Mosquito bites
•Spider bites
•Dry, chapped skin
•Grazes, scratches and small cuts
•Rough or cracked skin
•Rashes and inflamed skin
•Softens and heals scabs
•Can also be used on pets for sores or irritation!

What you’ll need to prepare this herbal salve🌿
•plantain leaf
•olive oil
•beeswax
• metal tins to pour salve
•double boiler
•thermometer
•cheesecloth
•glass jar

First what you’ll need to do it prepare your herbal infused oil. I did the 2 hour method using a double boiler. In your pot you’ll add the plantain leaf and olive oil and let simmer for two hours. Make sure to monitor the temperature keeping it between the 150°- 200° mark. We are not trying to fry the leaf.

Once the two hours is up you’ll take the herb off the heat and strain it 2-3 times using your cheesecloth. Just make sure to strain out all the bits so it’s just oil.

You’ll store this oil in a jar of some sort. Whatever you have on hand. If you made a lot make sure to label it with the date so you know when you prepared this herbal oil.

Next you’ll clean your double boiler and fix it again on the stove this time to make the salve itself.

Add 15g of beeswax per 100g of plantain oil.aka sure you melt your beeswax first. It just makes combining them and the melting process way easier.

Once they are mixed and melted you will then pour it into your metal tins and let cool.

You now have your very own herbal salve!🌿

This can basically be used in place of any topical ointment. It has all the same properties.

Don’t forget to label your salve as well. They have a shelf life of up to a year. Just store in a cool dry place.

Rose of Jericho is known for its beautiful transformation from a dried up desert plant in the form of a ball to ✨this✨ with just some water and love. Hence it’s name The Resurrection Plant.

It has been used for generations within latin cultures, all over the Caribbean, and hoodoo in the US. You may even see people have this plant sitting in their house for its beautiful look that livens up any space she’s put in, but for that reason alone.

Aside from its benefits which I’ll get to in a moment. The most important part is the connection you establish with your Rose Of Jericho. (If you plan on working with her) The mutual give and take you and her have. The mutual respect you have for each other. What do you want from her? What will you give her in return?
