What is stress?
According to the American Institute of Stress, stress is the body’s nonspecific response to any demand. It can come from positive experiences like starting a new job or negative situations like financial pressure.
Stress is not always bad. In small amounts, it can help motivate and focus us. But ongoing stress can affect our mental, emotional, and physical health. This month, take time to recognize how stress shows up in your life. Check in with yourself. Reach out to someone who may be feeling overwhelmed. Small steps toward awareness can make a big difference.
