My name is Sebetha, I highly recommend the competent services from the staff at Hood Health & Wellness. For years I lived with chronic knee pain. Traditional treatments, such as steroid injections, and medications only offered temporary relief. Hi, my name is Delma. I will be 71 in a few weeks. I started this program for treatment of neuropathy a month ago. I am very pleased with the progress!

I am not diabetic so I was not familiar with neuropathy or was even aware that I had it until a few years ago even though looking back I have dealt with it for more than five years. I became aware of it about three years ago. Spoke with my doctor and she sent me to physical therapy. They said that there was nothing that they could do. It was uncurable! I was given gabapentin. The numbness became more noticeable so I quit taking it. Next my doctor sent me to a specialist because of the pain in my right foot. He wanted to give me a shot for the pain. I refused and walked out knowing that there must be something that I could do to reverse this.

On a trip to the Phillippines, I broke my middle toe on the left foot. I went to three different clinics because it wouldn't heal. I went to a doctor who treated neuropathy but never mentioned anything about my broken toe and the pain that I was having with it. It was then that I found out how severe the neuropathy in my feet were. I am experiencing a lot of pain in my hand. I was not impressed with his financing and his press to receive treatment. I met with another doctor on Zoom. He said that he would treat the gut issue that I am having in addition to neuropathy. The problem would have been that everything was home treatment and we would meet on Zoom.

Then through a referral I was introduced to Dr. Hood. I was impressed with how through he and his staff are. He listened to everything I had to say and asked many, many questions. He explained the issue about my broken toe. I noticed an improvement with the first treatment! For the first time in more than 30 years, I am able to sleep without pain in my body. My muscles are more relaxed and not so tight. After every treatment I see improvement. My situation was severe. A few more years and I would have been wheelchair bound. I have great hope that a year from now, my situation will be completely different!

Meet Maia as she shares her journey here at Hood Health and Wellness.

When I started , my quality of life was really low. I was in constant pain walking, sitting, even just standing still was uncomfortable. It felt like my pelvic bones were unstable, and the pain made everyday tasks really difficult. I also had issues with urination, like urgency and discomfort, which added to the stress.

Now, I’m finally seeing real improvement. The pain has decreased a lot, and I’m able to move around more comfortably. Urination feels more normal, and I don’t feel that same pressure or urgency anymore. My body feels more supported, and it’s made a huge difference in my day-to-day life. I’m not 100% yet, but this progress made a big difference.
