Last week, we had two loaded days of excitement. On Thursday we had some fun with Family Bingo while enjoying a delicious cup of Banana Pudding to celebrate National Banana Day . Then on Friday, we had our very first FHR Resident Auction. With $4400 in auction bucks, the stakes were high and competition was on as residents raised their paddles to bid on some pretty cool items. We appreciate our very own Auctioneers for a job well done and we can’t wait to do it again!!

💙🎶 Florala Health & Rehabilitation is always honored to serve our families, community, and partners! Recently, our Admissions Coordinator, Christina Young, shared her beautiful voice with a heartfelt musical selection at the Life Blooms Eternally event, sponsored by ACG Hospice. 🌸

This special event was a touching tribute, honoring and celebrating the lives of loved ones who have passed. A tree of remembrance stood adorned with hearts bearing the names of those forever cherished. ❤️🌳 We are grateful to be part of such a meaningful and beautiful way to remember!

🌸💙 At FHR, we truly love seeing our residents grow and blossom! 🌷 April 25th marks one year since Tommy joined us, and what an incredible journey it has been. Over the past year, he has discovered his niche while exploring hidden gifts and talents that continue to inspire everyone around him. 🎨🎸

Tommy has recently taken up painting, generously sharing his artwork with fellow residents and staff. He’s also been a big help in decorating seasonal bulletin boards, adding his creative touch throughout the facility.

During a recent visit from the Echoland Band, Tommy even picked up his guitar to play and sing along, showcasing yet another talent! 🎶

And of course, he recently celebrated a birthday, choosing to share his special day with friends enjoying cake, ice cream, chips, dip, and lots of laughter. He wouldn’t have it any other way! 🎂💛

We are so proud of Tommy and all of our residents who continue to grow, discover, and thrive together.

✝️🐰 FHR had a wonderful Easter celebration filled with joy, fellowship, and faith! 🐣💛 Residents enjoyed a special bunny visit from Dayspring Hospice, bringing smiles and sweet moments to everyone. The celebration also included a meaningful “He is Risen” service, reminding us of the true meaning of the season.

A huge thank you to Bishop Belcher and Brother Brent for joining us and helping make this celebration so special. We are grateful for these moments of connection and will continue to celebrate the Risen King! 🌷

💐🎉 Our precious resident, Sarah Simmons, had an absolutely wonderful couple of days filled with love, joy, and celebration! 💖 After a recent hospitalization, Ms. Sarah returned just in time to attend our Women’s Tea, where she enjoyed a lovely afternoon surrounded by warmth and fellowship. ☕👒

The very next day, she celebrated her 88th birthday with family and friends gathered near and far. 🎂✨ The room was filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, songs, and cherished memories as four generations of her family came together to celebrate her life. Happy Birthday, Ms. Sarah. We are honored to celebrate you! 🎈

💐☕ Yesterday, we wrapped up Women’s History Month with a lovely Women’s Tea, celebrating and reflecting on womanhood and all of its beauty and strength. 💖 Guests enjoyed a warm cup of tea, delicious petit fours, elegant hats, and most importantly wonderful company and lasting memories. 👒✨

A special thank you to our amazing community partners, Aveanna Hospice, CenterWell Home Health Care, Dayspring Hospice, Gentiva Hospice, and LHC HomeCare, for providing treats and helping serve during this special event. Your support made the day even more meaningful! 💙 We truly enjoyed our “ParTea” and the opportunity to celebrate such an inspiring group of women! 🌸
