Sciton MOXI treatment is a type of non-ablative, fractionated laser skin rejuvenation procedure made by Sciton. It’s designed to refresh and improve the appearance of your skin with minimal downtime and discomfort compared to more aggressive laser resurfacing options.
🧴 What It Is
• Non-ablative laser – MOXI uses a 1927 nm wavelength laser that doesn’t remove the surface layer of skin, but instead creates microscopic treatment zones beneath it.
• Fractionated energy – Only tiny columns of skin are treated at a time, leaving surrounding tissue untouched so healing is faster.
• Often called a prejuvenation treatment: it’s popular for preventing early signs of aging and maintaining skin quality over time.
🌟 What It Treats
MOXI can help with:
• Sun damage & pigmentation (dark spots, uneven tone)
• Uneven texture and roughness
• Fine lines and early aging signs
• Enlarged pores & dullness
It’s generally performed on the face, but can also be used on the neck, chest, hands, and other areas.
⚙️ How It Works
During treatment:
• A topical numbing cream may be applied for comfort.
• The MOXI laser delivers controlled energy into the skin’s superficial layers, stimulating collagen production and triggering the body’s natural healing response.
• This process encourages old, damaged cells to be replaced with newer, smoother, more evenly toned skin.
⏱️ Treatment & Recovery
• Quick sessions – often 8–15 minutes for the face (excluding numbing time).
• Minimal downtime – most people can wear makeup within ~24 hours; mild redness or a “sandpaper” texture may appear for a few days as skin heals.
• Visible improvements often appear within about a week, with more noticeable effects after multiple sessions spaced weeks apart.
