We are still celebrating Match Day for the McLeod PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program!

Stephanie Milliken, PharmD, Residency Program Director, and Hannah Schmoock, PharmD, Residency Program Coordinator, announce the incoming class of Kate Beesley, Zoe Bennett and Isabella Steely, all from the University of South Carolina.

Match Day is a process established by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) to help applicants obtain positions in their pharmacy residency programs of their choice, and to help residency programs obtain applicants of their choice.

The new pharmacy residents will begin their training at McLeod in June 2026.

Earlier this month, the PGY-1 McLeod Pharmacy Residents Savannah Odom and Somer Pye and Program Leaders Stephanie Milliken and Hannah Schmoock attended the South Carolina Society of Health-System Pharmacists Fall Residency Showcase in Columbia, SC. Today, we send a special thank you to our McLeod GME Professionals, who invest countless hours in supporting residents and faculty. This team consists of the first people you meet when starting residency and the last when you walk out with your diploma.

Their passion for fostering a positive learning environment and providing exceptional support is truly commendable. They are problem solvers, solution seekers and advocates for their programs. They truly make the GME world go round!

McLeod Regional Medical Center sponsors three accredited residency programs with training sites in Cheraw, Florence, and Manning. As a team, these GME Professionals, through effective leadership and administration of GME, exhibit the skills, knowledge, and dedication in supporting the residency programs at McLeod Health. They are the backbone of medical education and make a significant impact on the training and development of future physicians.
